One thing that I feel is a must is a cutlery tray. Cutlery baskets are lousy. I'd not buy a dishwasher without a cutlery shelf unless there were no other way. I wish they made dishwashers with a proper drying cycle that pumps and circulates hot air inside of the device or something like that instead of relying on evaporation / condensation only. Or perhaps by using vacuum (would likely be more effective and much less destructive with plastics etc). Even older models with a resistance at the bottom never run that resistance long enough to dry everything properly and there's not usually a drying only cycle to try your dishes further when you have tons of water still accumulated.

Just bought and installed this exact model, this being my 2nd replacement and 3rd Indesit dishwasher over 20 years. I have to say that the quality of build from Indesit (not actual performance) has decreased with every replacement. Front and side panels are a lot more flimsy ( think bean tin) and have very sharp edges. The front door now being held in place with the slide pins and 4 puny screws, what happened to the Velcro pads that used to aid adhesion? Fitting instructions appalling, no words just unclear drawn pictures, one shows that you remove a plastic retainer for side screws and next picture shows it still in place when the unit being moved into place. Special instructions inside showing the blue retainers on the top shelves with an up down arrow and 3.5cm with someones pointing at a tag, no ideas on what that means Minor grumble over having to hold down the P button for 3 seconds to get it into the "Push and Go" function when it really should just be the default programme. That and the salt light being on all the time, who uses salt anymore, everyone uses all in one tablets. So far, better at cleaning than last Indesit but that 12 month only guarantee is always a worry, £300 machine and only one year warranty does not sit well.
