Hey I did what you did before the exhaust upgrade. I made a hole on the back of the cover and nothing but then I made 3 half inch holes and now my bike it's loud and I love it. I chose not to get the exhaust no more cause everyone tells me it sounds great now👍 thanks man for the idea

Dude to be honest, I'm down to just the band clamp. The exhaust strap assembly I put together has broken twice due to vibtation. From what i can tell, the Yoshi is light enough to where it doesn't put a real strain on the header flanges, so now the system just kinda floats in space with minimal movement.
@tgatez35665 жыл бұрын
@@HalfClickUp My two brothers exhaust is probably alittle bit heavy, I meant the engine exhaust clamp . Also I peeped your odometer @ 40k, have you had any issues w/ your bike yet? I got mine low miles from someone that never rode and had to replace fuel pump from sitting for 9 years etc but they seem solid from reviews.

Your neighbors will love you leaving in the mornings 😂 A good way to check for leaks is to soray soapy water around the exhaust ports. If it bubbles, youve got a leak You are probably right but Im almost positive if you can smell raw fuel, youre running rich. Seems contradictory to allowing better airflow which should cause a lean condition though lol. Spark plugs can tell you for sure but it wont matter once you install the power commander

I used a aluminum swaybar bone with 2 rubber bushings on each end to hold it all tight and i bent it just. Lil and my hole exhaust is tight
@HalfClickUp5 ай бұрын
Man that’s a great idea.. what vehicle is that bone made for? Or do you know the dimensions/length? The exhaust hanging material I used in this video split in half the first week it was installed, and to this day the header has just been floating in space. It’s solid and hasn’t given me issue, but it’s always bothered me that it isn’t secured.

just bought my FZ6R exactly 3 weeks ago. Swapping the R6 headers was my first mod! I love the sound but not sure what muffler/slip on to use, any recommendations?
@HalfClickUp2 жыл бұрын
I ran a Yoshi slip-on for years and it sounded fantastic. I still have it, too. Once I started tracking my Fizzer, right hand turns became an issue with regards to ground clearance. The Yoshi would scrape just before the foot peg would, so I had to go with something tiny, yet aesthetically pleasing that would allow me to completely lean the bike on the track. I now run the Radiant Cycles ShortyGP and it’s loud as hell, like straight race bike sound. It’s basically like running open header, so if that sounds too crazy, I’d go with the lowest profile slip-on you can without breaking the bank. The “real name brand” ones are friggin expensive, my Yoshi included. I just got lucky cuz the subscriber that sent me the header included the Yoshi. Look at Black Widow and Delkevic if you want tame, but badass sound.

Hi What if it touches the oil pan? I have 2001 model headers, and they will touch
@HalfClickUp Жыл бұрын
People have reported success by heating the pipe after the collector with a torch and using leverage (like a long pipe inserted into the header exit) to bend the header by a half inch or so. My header is from a second gen so I didn’t have this issue. Best of luck!

Stock headers only for r6 probably stupid question 😅
@HalfClickUp6 ай бұрын
That’s actually an excellent question that I’ve never thought of before. However, the point of going with the stock R6 header is that they’re higher performance than the stock Fizzer header but are dirt cheap. If you were to purchase an aftermarket R6 system to retrofit to the Fizzer, you may as well just buy an aftermarket kit made for the Fizzer. They’re equally around $1,000 give or take.

Can you not just cut off the exhaust from the original pipe and reuse the pipe?..and weld a new exhaust
@HalfClickUp3 жыл бұрын
The collector and cat-box are welded together, and so you don’t actually have any round down pipe to bite onto with a custom mid-pipe. It could be done, but the end result would be a 4 into 1.... I prefer the performance oriented 4-2-1 afforded by the R6 header.
