I don’t understand how people fail to see the irony…in the biggest democracy the Indian National Congress is still a monarchy. The party’s main leadership has and is from the Nehru-Gandhi family. Every decision is still taken by the family members instead of the elected members. There are many local parties in India like this. Keeping the reigns within the family. It’s not very nice. For all the people commenting here. I was merely pointing out that party decisions should be delegated to capable leaders and shouldn’t stay within one family. I don’t think I’ve indicated anywhere in my comment that everyone should vote BJP or elect Modi. Having diversity in leadership positions can lead to new ideas, better manifestos, better outcomes, etc.

u mean just like how currently every decision was made by modi or amit shah? also unlike bjp in 2014 and 2019 till now i.n.d.i.a is a allience where congress only has a missily 99 seats . if it wants to form the govt and insure it lasts they have to appease the other parties and that means not making decisions that would canablise on the other parties vote banks which can only happen by making decision taking the development of those votebanks in mind . in short having multiple shadow leaders will allow for more development.

Rahul Gandhi even though coming from Nehru Gandhi history struggled for 10 years, Pollsters claimed that INDIA won't even get 100 seats, although the game changed in 2024. He is not in the race for PM, he resigned from the post of President in 2019, what else do you expect. Still, he is working for Congress & people of India. Late respected PM Indira Gandhi & Great PM Rajiv Gandhi are martyrs of the country, following the same footsteps, Rahul Gandhi is serving the Nation of India.

They want freebies, caste reservation, religious reservation and free money in their bank accounts. India is very lucky that inspite of this immaturity displayed by its own citizens, a capable leader like Narendra modi again came to power in an historical win. This victory will be the turning point in the journey, that will take India from a developing nation towards a developed nation....

The numbers don't really matter because nobody has won majority seats, and the BJP in this case is heavily dependent on its allies. And the opposition is working together to take down Modi. There is a very big difference.

I expected a much more mature statement from Rahul. Without an absolute majority for his alliance,He again speaks about Modi, amit shah, adani, ambani. He doesn't have any vision about the future of india or its people. Still after 10 years of rule, bjp made a 240 no on its own is a big win for them and the opposite alliance doesn't get an absolute majority after 10 years of bjp rule is actually questionable and its time for bjp to self introspect and to realise the fact that temple or religion doesnt satisfy the people in all spectrums of their life. Unemployment, inflation and foreign interference had played an mportant role in this election.

It’s really sad to see these results. It was Modi’s government that put India on the world map. The fact that we are doing so well in technological field, economic growth, eradication of terrorism, etc is because of Modi. It’s sad that people believe the propaganda that he’s against Muslims. But he’s done a lot to benefit the Muslim community too. Just because someone supports their religion doesn’t mean they hate other religions. I feel that the fact that he was against Kalisthan movement, supported Israel, supported Israel, and the ram mandhir incident made many believe he did bad. But they forgot all the developments and advancements. I wouldn’t say BJP is perfect. It has its flaws too. They should’ve been more careful in the choice of their candidates which costed the majority this time. If the candidates had bad reputation in those areas, they should have switched them with better leaders. They were too focused on winning the central elections. You need good leaders at the grassroots level so that the civilians in those constituencies benefit. Good on Congress. As far as I am aware (Karnataka), congress had some good candidates at the constituency level and so people I guess voted for leaders who they believed will do good for their area in terms of development. Maybe BJP ought to learn from this election that having good candidates is important to keep the majority. It’s important to listen to the feedback from civilians and keep a close watch on the progress that was promised.
