i think being religious and having a scientific temperament are not interconnected. Religion tradition are necessary for a society to function finest example is ISRO scientists are pretty religious . Keeping religion and scientific temperament different is the duty of the teacher.

No religion isn't necessary Nordic countries are atheistic and pretty much better than India in every aspect.stop giving appeal to authority fallacy just because isro scientists believe in Hinduism doesn't mean Hinduism is true they're not applying the same scientific logic to their religion and thinking with feelings.

Nope. Being religious or religion isn't important for functioning of society. India as a country is working because of constitution, the law and democracy and not because of religion. ISRO have engineers not scientists. It's engineers oriented institution not science oriented. How many ISRO scientists have researched about the origin of universe? None. Most accepted it's god who created this. This is where physics dies... Religion is a rotten and it's now not necessary. One can live without religion. People who don't follow religion are the proof.
