India's Best Statue | Ground Report by Dhruv Rathee

Undoubtedly the Best Statue in India and perhaps the best tourist place in India which has been recently made. You will see what makes this tourist place so unique and special in this video. It is 100% privately funded at a cost of ₹100 crores only by multiple NRI investors. It is made on a BOT - Build, Operate, Transfer model according to which the tourist site will be given to government after 30 years. Apart from this unique business model, this is also an eco-tourism site. I interview its sculptor Rajiv Anchal in this video.

Important thing which i picked up in this video- - Statue was not just showpiece but gave a covert message of struggle - Statue made just within a bollywood movie budget - Statue not just compliments the nature but even enhances it by forest plantations, water harvesting - Statue was made by a citizen for the people.. and not by arbitrary government decision. - Last but not the least- no wonder the statue is developed by the most literate state in India : Kerala

The man who designed & built this statue and ecosystem, Sri Rajiv Anchal is the director of Malayalam film "Guru" starring Mohanlal, which was India's official entry to the 1997 Oscars! Just saying! 😊

Rajiv Anchal's "Guru" is a movie that must be remade in Bollywood/Hollywood at a Magnum Opus level..since it came from Malayalam industry it never got the attention it deserved....it's so relevant at our sociopolitical system and will remain so forever....wish a director like Mani Ratnam should have never named his 2007 Abhishek starter as Guru, just as respect to Rajiv Anchal's Guru... Anyways great "Sculpture"...will surely visit...thanks for getting Rajiv Anchal to talk about it...good work...

So what we are not like North, West, East that fighting for religion and makes a statue to show unity. We are living in unity and if you visit Kerala then you will know here Temple, Church, Mosque, are situated side by side and people not compare their religion to make friendship. We are Keralites. The 3000 statue is over priced even I believe that but it's also one of tallest statues of the world and made out of a thick layer of Iron If you are comparing both the sculptures, then think of the size and the amount of development of the area which was needed for it.... I have visited the the Statue of Unity and it's pretty big, well maintained and operated

@Resurrected jesus if you want to say, they making living by washing toilets, then I will say that's not something to be ashamed of because every job is great if it involves their hard work. But I don't think Kerala make a living by washing toilets because most are capable with better skills. There are people in Kerala too who struggle to earn livelihood and ready to do any work to fill their family's stomach, same as any other state. But the percentage is comparatively far less than other states. But to include Saudi on that, I really feel pity on your mentality. It's human to feel jealousy. But don't let it take your sanity.
