Tawa pulao or Spicy fried rice is a very popular street food from Mumbai which is made on a large tawa, a griddle. To make this, rice is cooked first and seasoned with variety of spices, masalas and vegetables. Tawa pulao is usually made on large tawa and a high flame which actually lends a unique flavor.
Mohammad Nashir Pavbhaji & Bhurji Centre is one of the best places to try Tawa pulao in Mumbai. This place is open till late night and also provide home delivery till 5 A.M in the morning!

It seems that they feel the red colour, is a must. "It has to be red!) Though it may not be popular Many restaurants serve pulao just like this and also soggy besides being pungent. This batch as shown could have extra salt. These guys are some how doing a service to many hungry folk by just being there! They must be popular!

@@yourbutler9988 the pan that he is cooking over, is called the "tawa". Hence the name, so if he used a different dish vessel to cook, it wouldn't be called Tawa pulav.

For starters that frying pan was not clean, u could see old food stuck to the sides of the fryer, then toward the end it was gone which means it got mixed in

Thats kashmiri red chilli. You wont feel any spice but it will give a nice red finish that most people associate with north indian food. So please know your facts before you shit a hard working man

He must be using Kashmiri red chilly powder. These have terrific bright red colour but not hot or spicy at all. In India this is used to give colour to the dish being cooked. For making the dish hot & spicy other red chilly powder is used. So, no need to freak out when he adds so much chilly powder.

If he wore gloves then due to heat they will stuck to huge pan and rice wouldn't mixed in proper fashion so dish didn't look and taste as it taste now and they are surviving this dish to hundreds of people they definitely now hygiene and cleanliness that they are providing. And they are doing this business from many years and most important thing millionaires came here to have this kind of stuff it's MUMBAI baby.
