After calling itself the INDIA alliance - this is perhaps the second biggest movie that has sparked a massive debate in the country. But is the opposition right in publicly naming and boycotting 14 anchors - or were their other means besides calling them as 'Hounds of the RSS - BJP ????
..... also why are we calling this a half - baked step? What is missing?

I'm afraid Not many would join you. The lower income groups (which constitute the larger share of voters) don't really bother as much about press freedoms and stuff. Their roti kapda makaan is dear to them because they have to take care of their family members as well: so inflation, subsidies, and basic standard of living indicators are of higher priority

The decibal level of those anchors in godi media is much higher than that of street dogs fighting or fish market. Congress made the right choice. A talented journalist asks simple and straightforward questions politely and makes the guilty interviewee to drink lots of water and make the interviewee to leave the interview in the middle and makes him/her never face the media again...

However, I do not think boycotting those specific anchors will do any good, because if the opposition ends up winning the majority, they have to work with these anchors again. The step taken by INDIA alliance to boycott the godi anchors is not enough.. Opposition have to set a narrative to wake people and make them believe that there are leaders who are not afraid of being questioned...by giving the interviews to the real non biased journalists like karan thapar ravish kumar abhisar and others. it would better help them to convince and aware people... Media should never be biased and have biased views. Journalism is the 4th pillar of democracy and it is being abused openly. The media should ask BJP and all opposition equally, but what we have seen since 2014 is do not ask the government to praise the government even if they are not praise worthy, no questions on BJP affiliates who raped Dalit girl, do not ask question to BJP on Brij Bushan, do not ask BJP on what is still going on in Manipur, do not ask questions on education, rising prices, cost of living, Jobs, instead G20 succes, how is that success going to help the general person, the poor ?? The precidence has been set. Opposition realises if the Govt can get away with out having to answer questions why can't they? But they forget that they are the ones in the opposition and the only way to reach out to the public is through media even if that means answering hard hitting questions. This is the only way for them to show how they are different from the current government.

Curly Tales was the YT channel to which RG gave interview. It is just a gimmick to seem relatable, i feel Samdhish was also given access but the issue is, politicians on both sides have stopped giving interviews on serious topics and on serious notes. Exception being the recent interview of Omar Abdullah by Samdhish. It was hard hitting Thankfully Digital forums continue to remain the last standing bastion of the fourth pillar
