you are improving better, this video is executed very well . as the doctor said mechanic is passionate towards both the vehicle and his clients, infact he loves both. technicians talked well. doctor demonstrated well and one can guess how much he loves and cares his vehicle by the way he closed the dicky.

Good job Dajish bro. We sold our 1981 model Mark 4 in 2000 I think. Now I’m really regretting that decision. Dr. Unnikrishnan’s car looks so luxurious in the inside esp the roof and the seats. And hats off to him for maintaining it in such pristine condition. If I buy an ambassador in Future, I shall bring it to Sajeesh and brothers for restoration. Good job guys.. 👍👍❤️💕

The body style is 1956 Morris Oxford from England. I understand Hindustan converted to the Isuzu engine to meet modern emission standards, so I guess it is the engine you used in this restoration. You have made a beautiful car and I want one just like that.

This is not Isuzu.Its the same old petrol engine (BMC)

I had a 1955 Oxford which is virtually the same except the bonnet does not not have that scooped shape, and the rear wings were not finned. It was a great car, very comfortable for long journeys and very spacious. I reluctantly had to part with it when my wife passed her driving test and was too nervous to drive such a large car, so I needed a smaller one. That was why I was so interested in your car, because it brought back so many memories of good times with the family. If I could have my old Oxford back now, I would snap it up in a moment. Mine had the 1489cc B series engine.

@@drunnikrishnankj7959 Here in the UK, this model Morris Cowley and Oxford was only made from 1954 to 1959, with the exact same styling as the Hindustan Ambassador being the Series 3 version from 1956 to 1959. Although a few restored examples still exist, there are probably no more than 3 or 4 left. As the Indian model was made up to 2014 there are obviously many still in use. My car was the Oxford Series 2 version, which was the same as the Hindustan Landmaster, as you correctly pointed out.

Dajish, If we put other engines on Ambi isnt it against RTO rules. If we can change the engine and gear box why can't we go for the turbo diesels like the one in thar, I mean the one with good power. Just few doubts.

During end of 1990's HM obtained orders from Supreme Court preventing engine swapping in Ambassador car. Moreover, now engine swapping is against rules as per Central Govt. orders. If HM produces new engines to replace old ones in their old vehicles, people can purchase them change the old one with the newly purchased one on producing its purchase bill to MVD for endorcing the new engine number in its RC.
