I guess this involves the exchange of only Singaporean dollar and Indian rupee... Indian government wants to avoid using us dollar (swift transactions) for international transactions and actually made many transactions for crude oil purchases with Iran when US sanctioned on Iranian oil. As such, India wouldn't show interest in using US dollar when there's cooperation between the countries...

usually remittances via swift usually takes several days sometimes even weeks, this is almost instantaneous, time saved is better in that way and any failed transactions get reversed in 24hrs, any incorrect transactions can also be reversed within 48hrs if reported. SWIFT is slow and old.

This means that there is a single company or Authority, which is doing a 50,000 crore transaction. I don’t know how you see that see this as a mini or micro amount. @@siaasaxena first of all I never said it does not happen. I'm merely generalising everyday usage of general public and it's ease of use for transfers, it is just one more option to use. People will decide whether to use it or not ☝️. As for ports and transfers, people always find ways to do things. Take for example increased taxes on alcohol, people will start in black markets. Instead govt does not increase too much so they can still keep track(this is an example) Although blackarket transactions still happen. People wanting to make money will make it regardless, depends on their mindset on how they want to do it.

Punjab punjabi, Gujarat gujarati, Maharashtra marathi etc. Even UP&bihar have so many languages and tons of dialects. Although those languages are close to standard hindi that doesn't mean they are same as hindi. At last it's first/second language for 5 out of 10 people in India. Every country chose it's national language based on number of speakers. Btw I'm writing this comment in english because I'm used to write in only english. That's it
