On October 7, The India Project at Brookings hosted a conversation with Ambassador Shivshankar Menon, India’s former national security advisor (January 2010-May 2014) and foreign secretary (2006-2009). He also served as India’s ambassador to China and Israel, as well as high commissioner to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Ambassador Menon discussed India's role in the world, recent developments in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, the state of India-U.S. relations and the recent Modi-Obama summit.

India is equipped with one of the most important gun. That its soft power... For as little as my country Afghanistan, India has been a major contributer of our education system, fundamental infrastructures, health and military systems. And we Afghans are proud of having such a strong friend in Asia.

Key points 1) dealing with China & Pakistan One is 4000 yr old civilization nation and another can't be even said as state. 2) talking about Afghanistan With increase in stability everybody's interest are there 3) working with Iran, you have to work on multiple folds areas, you cannot have attitude of getting one issue completely solved then moving to another 4) problem with fundamentalist group with time goes on they turned more smaller in different places, more Extreme than previous Same with other extremism live Communist, anarchist and all
