Please go to the Rameshwaram cafe it's the most bomb cafe you'll ever go to. The pudi dosa, the idli, the upma are all top tier

It's a masala dosa, but they cover it in pudi or a delicious spice mix also known as Chutney Powder. It's not hot, it's just super flavourful.

Yes. You'll hear the term gunpowder used in Tamil Nadu (and Andhra maybe) and we say Chutney Podi in Kerala

Also you might hear people say parupu podi or colloquially pappu podi. Podi is powder/crushed and parupu means dal.

Varalakshmi Tiffin in Hyderabad make similar type of Idli called Ghee Kadampodi Idli. One of the best idli I rver tried.

There is a difference between wet and dry food. Eating wet food with hands is messy, for eg eating dosa with wet chutney. Eating dry food like burger and Pizza does not make your hands messy.@@koustavchakraborty3694
