The ICJ election campaign for India was led by Mr. Syed Akbaruddin during his stint at UN as India's permanent representative. It's documented in lovely details in Mr. Akbaruddin's book "India vs UK".... Highly recommended read 👍 The sweetest part of the campaign was that it was literally a last moment decition after India had already won all other UN elections, that we had our eyes on.... and so India's friends had very little time to align themselves..... Plus it was for the first time a permanent representative of the UN sec council went without a seat at the ICJ as India pushed it out. Go get the book "India vs UK" for a taste of how India is growing its diplomatic heft and muscle

Everyone who is interested in this issue can read the book "India vs UK" by none other than Akbaruddin sir. This is such a beautifully written book that it feels like a fast paced novel. A great insight into how diplomacy really works, and how Indian diplomats made possible the seemingly impossible

Eh from Canada , Here is something that the British have left in my country .As we all know when Britain went around occupying and robbing countries they had a move that kept them in the countries they were colonizing . They got locals to stir up trouble by choosing them on their religious belief . But to the rest of country they were portraying as if they had to stay to capture and kill the terrorist group . Here's the thing. When the anonymity was found out Britain would promise the freedom and bring them here to Canada .. that was a century ago. Today they hav spread across all Canada and continue to be active .Not for British , just for themselves . Who knows why England left them here. And who knows why the government won't take actions against them or deport them to England who denies the facts. It is both disgusting and embarrassing that everyone who knows isn't willing to do anything . Well i for one will not be comfortable until the truth is exposed . Lets see how long the SFJ take to get their assets taken and members removed from my country. Good health to you and yours.

@H G Eh H You are right.this is new to me ,heard about it a few months ago. I tried The Fifth Estate ,Global , even W5 to state some facts and no reply . The research on the SFJ i came up with goes back to BC in late 1800 .British Army used them for civil unrest so the people of the country they were occupying (and robbing) felt that England was saving them from harm. The give and take strategy . If any terrorist got recognized the Army moved them here as the group had been promised California rejected them and they settled up here. We were a Dominion of England then. 1982 is officially we could have England to take them with. Exposure of them often may be the way to end them .Here anyway . Canadian born people (who are out numbered on voting day)are not in favor of this and someone needs to be held accountable .

@@williammyers1505 Thanks for sharing facts. In India we understand this line "...Canada born people (who are out numbered on Voting day)..." But in a different context, We call Nationalists and anti-nationalists (Trait0rs). There is an act of "poking ones eye with their own finger" very popular here in India. Every nation and terror group is allowed to hold the strings and play as they want. Surprisingly Gov and law turn blind eye to it and which leads to penalizing People who actually see the threats, and in long run it is going to effect entire nation.

But in changed world, India can challenge and outclass them at any world forum no matter how much they destroyed and looted it during their rule in the past .
