I have just returned a week ago from an amazing trip to Sri Lanka - one of the best trips I have made. Sri Lanka in mid March wasn't warm at all, cooler than my home city Mumbai for sure. I planned this trip through a Sri lanka based travel agency Olanka Travels who managed my itinerary covering Sigiriya, Kandy,Nuwaraeliya and Colombo. Having a driver/guide to take you from place to place is definitely a bonus. The hotels too were amazing and Sri lankan food is delicious and suits our palate. I would recommend a planned itinerary through a travel agency as it takes a weight off you. Sri Lanka is so pristine clean, their roads are fantastic and you pass through amazing forested areas and last but nit least the people are so friendly and warm. Go enjoy Sri Lanka. It's truly a Pearl in the Indian Ocean.

My then girlfriend and I literally had tickets for Sri Lanka that had us leaving on the 16th of March...and we decided against going...India went into the lockdown on the 26th of March just 10 days later...and we would have just been stuck there! Look forward to going there someday soon!
