We finally got the opportunity to ride the all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 2024 in and around Manali. And after riding it for over 300Kms, I can clearly talk about all its positives and negatives. While the vehicle is now fully-loaded, has better dynamics, and has a butter smooth 452cc liquid-cooled engine, there are a few areas of improvement. We tell you all of that in our first ride review.

to me this seems to be a daily driver , everyday ride, city ride, work ride, quick ride, adventure ride, long route and may be just about decent mileage. A more bigger engine would be an over kill. Surely they will add traction control and other cool stuff. But as they said, that have given just about whatever is needed for a comfy ride and i agree

This is good details..... quick question..as the frame is split and no down tubing and considering this bike will be stressed alot..will the engine head bolts take the stress from the frame? as the head unit is bolted to the chassis? Down tubing is important as for classic the down tubing of the frame is included..unlike for hunter where it's removed.. Probably as more classic 350s are taken to Himalayas...So pls answer my question....will there be oil seal issue from the join where the engine head holds the base .. that's where the flex can happen??

Hello from France ! I had the chance to tried the new Himalayan 450 a few days ago. Fell in love with the bike ! I preordered mine but it won't arrive until june/july. For the seat height, I used the 855mm because I'm 6"1 so it was way better for me. And I'm coming from a Suzuki V-Strom 800DE which weight 230kg so for me 198kg was very "light". Anyway, I can't wait to received mine now !

No reviewer is actually mentioning how BRIGHT the instrument cluster looks even in broad daylight. Feels like the instrument cluster's PPI might beat many mid range smartphone. I would be glad to see someone holding an phone at full brightness beside this instrument cluster.

Amazing review!! Suzuki v strom 250 also has a low seat option but people are unhappy with it as it's not comfortable. Is it the same case with the 452? Please respond back once you find any info on this. Thanks.

Awesome presentation... everything was covered in detail. This bike is only uncomfortable for the pillion as you require some company for long travels. Solo biking is excellent.

I hope they give the option of Alloy wheels for those who want to ride highways but not into off-roading. As tube tyres are a pain to fix in case of puncture.

Vikas, one doubt, how smooth is the engine ? On a scale of 1 to 10 as compared with CB350RS for reference. Coming from a Honda fan, this will be my 1st RE. Didn't like the vibrations of earlier RE engines. Thank you.

I personally didn't liked the Golden colour on rims at all, they looks pretty cheap/Overdone/ Chapri rims. They should coloured like Copper-Bronze colour, this colour easy goes and looks much more appealing with Black colour combination.

Great review, Vikas! ❤ Loved the pros and cons you highlighted and the light jibe at yourself being a bit shorter rider. Question: why did you say that you’re leaving your Raj Dharm by sharing your opinion now and not the spec sheet? Isn’t a reviewer’s Raj Dharm be towards his audience? As in, you were forced to not follow your Raj Dharm before, but now you’ll be since you’ll not be bound by NDAs and such? 🤔
