First 5th gen fighter available choices right now are su 57, f35 only (f22 is not up for export ) if u take f35 , u know how dey ll play game , u cnt integrated weapons as u wish n also v hv s400 systems wic is why usa may not consider giving us f35 , even if it does it ll lot of conditions like removing s400 n other russia systems in IAF, second choice s57 is not reliable 5th gen thats why v left the project at first place

India should go for S-80 plus submarine if we are getting hull design tech, AIP ToT and IP rights or else increasing indigenous content is useless. Whereas if IAF chooses 114 Rafale then India have software access (to integrate indian weapon) and Engine ToT, IP rights...

I think India should go with DASSULT Rafale if it can deliver all 114 rafale F5 + 36 rafale for navy within 5 years starting with navy version first or it helps us making TEDBF. I Think Rafale or typhoon will loose it's demand by 2035 when proper fifth ,fifth and a half or sixth generation aircrafts will be developed fully by US,Europe, Russia and China.

100% stake for DRAL is very strange. It should be 50% HAL and 50% DRAL. in this way HAL should also have control. No need to repeat the FGFA mistake. It is not only buying the aircrafts but to learn also. Please try to convince them the earlier conditions in which dassault has promised for ToT. Nodoubt we need rafales but at what cost? Such an expensive aircraft in which we are just allowing them to make the aircraft with 100% control is something unimaginable. HAL should have 50% stake in it.

Mrfa is dead project instead of concentrating on mrfa we must buy 3 or 4 squardons of rafale and 6 to 8 squardons of tejas mk2 depending upon trails and production capacity and concentrate more on amca fighter jets 300 to 350 and start a development of sixth generation fighter jet for 4th gen fighter jets after 2050s or 2055 or 2060

5 years to deliver everything is bullshit. The deal needs to be signed and production needs to ramp up that already 4 years for the first delivery. Then the idea is to keep the teams busy and the know how alive, not to rush everything and unemployment, factory closes. I would go for 10 iaf per year, 4 to 6 in per year and 4 to 6 export per year. That’s a 15 year plane, enough to that amca can follow up.

I guess most Indians do not know a history, in 1950s, Soviet Union, due to the performance of China in Korea (took 3 month for PLA to kick all the US army out of north Korea), started aids to help China set up over 156 industry complexes, including mig jet factory, for Mig 15-17 (J6) ,, but later in 1960s China Soviet Union relationship turned sour and bad, so USSR canceled the second phase of Mig 21 jet project in China, instead, set up Mig 21 factory in India. however, without USSR, China produced J 7 (mig 21) by itself, later, JF 17 (still based on Mig 21), further, J 10, later after normalization with Russia, China build more Su jets series as J 11 J 16, J 15, and then by its own for J 20 and J31, Indians way of saying they are all copies made no difference in fighting power with PLAAF can wipe out entire IAF in just 2 wks.

Does it have a budget to install at least 50-55 aircrafts & operate and aircraft carrier ; plus to have a carrier is useless if you can't form a carrier strike group ; where as India has been operating carrier strike groups since before 1971 plus Turkey doesn't have a Carrier Based Fighter Program

I think their weapon performance inside ukraine has opened their eyes and now iran getting su35 and s400 is enough for them to accept reality or if israel f35 get shot by s400 or su35 in iran then USA will have no time to make excuse at that moment

Ukraine has also took abram out from active service yesterday saying American abrams ain't fit for a real war. It's the same for most western equipment getting obliterated in ukraine. I guess after su30 tracked and blocked the f35 and now iranians regularly intercepting f35 on their radar. It's time for USA to speak reality of stealth reality. It's good to accept it especially after Iran getting s400 and su35 as some guy told.

India not buying a fighter jet from US is unusual....Uncle Sam owns best aircrafts we should buy from them yes US is tricky ally but we should buy from them in future we could also buy 36 F35 from them till today we bought M777, Apache, P8i , Chinooks, MH60R, C17, C130 J but all this looks incomplete without a Fighter jet like F16ex or F35 so we should go for US jet

India totally has no way out of its military trap they fell into it since the beginning many decades ago, no others to blame but themselves. It reflected a much bigger problem, that is , India's total industry is a failure, which in turn reflected , this whole country is a complete failure, with no future, and no hope.
