It's OK. International policy solely to discourage India to become self reliant. In 1965 our Gnats fighter won over USA advance Hawk fighter. Tejas will do the same. HAL and DRDO staff should be encouraged. This is first time in history that we are producing fighters on our own after HF 24 coproduced with Egypt in 1962. The finest fighter was grounded because of then PM Neharu and Defence minister Krishna menon-the China spy.

China can easily obtain the " electronic vulnerability parameters of Iskander or Brahmos versions from cash strapped Ruskie sources. The drone was probably listening into radio altimeter electronic harmonics which can be spoofed when " required".

Kaveri is necessary to reduce cost of Tejas Mk1A. Secondly, the prices are highly unrealistic. 40 million USD is too much for an Indian fighter jet. It needs to perform some actions in operations. If it can outcompete a JF-17 or J-10, things might change.

One thing about which I am sure is, capability is not an issue here but the main issue is cost as our Tejas fighter is superior than the fighter those nations had procured.

Indian should promote the mark2 Tejas with the two small winglets up the front to sell ,and NOT the mark 1 as it doesn't look like any one is really serious about buying the dated looking mark 1 not even Nigeria countries with a small budget are not interested ..We might even have to sell the Mark 2 at cost and get money some other way but until the first country buys Tejas its all just talk

@@KrishBB Air to air refueling is a thing of past. It was necessary when jets cannot fly before couple of hundred KMs. Also you dont get a chance to do refueling when enemy jets can destroy you.

@@vaimurthy Tejas is an air to group fighter plane designed go for sir to group missions and for extending it's operational range its been added with that nozzle ( me myself don't like that nozzle and feel it's unnecessary) but it is what it is . The real reason for Tejas getting rejected by countries is different.

@@KrishBBI never said Tejas is rejected for this reason. All i said was, air to air refueling is a thing of past. You cannot refuel in contested air space. It is important for Tejas as it has limited combat range. There are plenty of jets who does not need this and can attack deep inside.
