Thousands of Indians were brought to Jamaica , Trinidad and Guyana in the 1800s by the British colonial imperialists as indentured labour to work on sugarcane plantations that supplied Europe with cane sugar

Pro tip : I break my pholouri into a pacman shaped to dip into the sauce or chutney and then close the month of the pacman to stuff the entire thing into my mouth. The inside soaks up more sauce.

I’ve tasted both cuisines unbiased (Have you original Indians done so as well? If not, then STFU until you do!) and Trini curries blow the original Indians out of the planet. This food reviewer is correct, the taste is similar yet completely different at the same time, and that is why it will be claimed as unique and original by the Trinis. Trinis also don’t use yogurt and creams in their savory dishes, and will reserve that for making some type of dessert. Sometimes the curry goat will get a can of coconut milk sometimes not. The curry crab always get a can of coconut milk and we have a vege option called ‘chatainge’ that also has coconut milk in the recipe. Other than those 3, Trinis do not curry with creams. Also the blend of herbs and spices is different and the Trinis have the more superior blend. The different varieties of Trini fruits and veges make the variety of chutneys and chows (IYKYK or google it) very diverse and unique as well (straight up roast pepper for one example, coconut, mango, tamarind, cucumber, bandhaniya, bitter gourd, pommecythere, chalta, you bring it and a Trini will make it a chutney 😂)

That Fuluri is a popular street snack in West Bengal, India. Other name is Daal Bora... It's slightly spicy and has a kick to it. If you eat fuluri without the chutney, your throat may dry up....

Trinidad and Tobago have a diversity of races amongst the population. Of course, there's us Black People, Indians, Chinese, Arabians, Spanish and Caucasians and of course, Mixed. The first thing ya'll ate is called "Pallouri" (Idk how it's spelt) and the red drink is called "Sorrel" it's made from Flowers, similar to the Hibiscus. The second food ya'll ate is called "Doubles" and the third one is called "Roti". The last one, "Rum Cake" is exactly what it is, cake made with different types of rum, my grandma used to make this for us when we were children, imagine😂😂😂😂
