Indian Motorcycle FTR1200 SR, fitted with an MSR De-cat pipe and an S&S Grand National slip-on exhaust. Just listen to the sound of this S&S Stainless straight through exhaust as we open the bike up on the dyno.

CARBON FTR 1200 IS ON MY BUCKET LIST. It needs a straight pipe or Vance & Hines shorties. Thrush makes a great sounding exhaust too

Yeah such a waste of time placing on the dyno, plus can the backfire be tuned out?

Zoom Zoom Kinda sorta pointless showing bike on dyno without before and after numbers; how hard is it to setup a tune?

at first i agree but then i realized i DO want to hear the muffler at different loads not just idle revs and the dyno is like a treadmill for that

I have noticed many if not all of these aftermarket exhaust videos on the FTR1200 a backfire or type of sputter during ACCELERATION. When the bike is revved in neutral at the top of the RPMs a PftPft PftPft before the RPMs come down. The sound is bothersome to me in that it just doesnt sound good. Thinking of buying a new FTR1200 and will leave it stock if the sputtter and Pft is what a new exhaust and tune produces. Its not the pleasing popping sound on deceleration some engines make when their getting hammered on.

@JP Chandler hmmm. 2500? I'm thinking of doing it at 500.. mine in my garage with 6 miles on it waiting for the snow to go away!

@JP Chandler yeah.. i talked with the guys at fuel motto.. I'm looking forward to being a hooligan! Did you leave the DB reducer in.... fuel motto said its worth about 10 ftlbs down low to leave it in..
