I'm not used to seeing newly migrated Indians in Jamaica, but I do know that Jamaica also has Indian descended people who have had their ancestors come over from several generations ago. You can find many African-Indian mixed individuals all over the Caribbean. There are also German descended Jamaicans and Chinese Jamaicans as well.

@@southspin7694 Jamaica is predominantly African descendants. However, the Out of Many One people motto means that irrespective of the different races, they are united as a nation.

@southspin7694 As a Jamaican I can tell you this no one is 100% African descent we are all mixed. Jamaican culture not a race a culture is infused by several different ethnic backgrounds hence the out of many. It can be shown in our food, our language, and culture practices.I have met people from Ireland with similar dishes as Jamaica friends that Asian that have several culture practice and English people similar pronounce of words and meaning. History of show that Jamaica is build by different people coming around world and setting roots to build the Jamaican culture. We are many people from many backgrounds but we are one culture one nation one people we are Jamaicans. It shown in our people and the way we are.

If you wanna see Indians and what we call “coolies” which is blend of African and Indians then you should go to the most famous community for them and that is Coburn gardens aka Cockburn Pen in Olympic Gardens/ Waltham Park Road , St Andrew 👍

Some Jamaican indians or Indo-Caribbean persons do not like to be called coolie, as this is a derogatory /racial slur towards them.

Yes alot of Indian born and raised here ,but the ones from India come here for better ment of life jamaica is full of mixed culture Mexican /Cuban/ every form of nationality but not many are born here .

The Jamaican government give them a sweet deal to set up their business. The deal is much better than what they would have gotten in India. The local Jamaicans don't get the same deal.
