As'hab e Kahf (People of cave) slept in the cave for 309 years. And when they were awake, they asked each other (for how ling we have been sleeping) one of them said perhaps a day or less than that. It's a beautiful story and miracle well explained in the Qur'an Surah Al kahf.

Bhaji, this is the incident mentioned in Surah al-kahf. There are 4 stories in this Surah and each has a lesson for this world. Yes people of the cave slept for 300 years , becoz they were young they choose one God above all. They had to hide in a cave where Allah swt kept them for 300 years. He managed to turn their sides and protect them from sunlight. When they woke up, they found everybody was worshipping Allah.

Surat No. 18 Ayat NO. 14 और हमने उनके दिल ख़ूब मज़बूत कर दिये थे। (7) यह उस वक़्त का ज़िक्र है जब वे उठे और उन्होंने कहा कि हमारा परवर्दिगार वह है जो आसमानों और ज़मीन का मालिक है। हम उसके सिवा किसी को माबूद बनाकर हरगिज़ नहीं पुकारेंगे। अगर हम ऐसा करेंगे तो हम यक़ीनन इन्तिहाई बेहूदा बात कहेंगे।
