In Peshawar, people serve green tea after any kind of meal I know they use lot of oil in their some traditional dishes.. But after that special qahwa, they can easily digest all kind of food..2ndly they, the pathans are so hardworking, they make these dishes on people's demand.. This is the reason, tourist specially US visit this place every now and then..they love the taste..

Pathans are more meat lovers and less spicy foods that they eat but it's really nice and they visited like 5 % of Pershawar. There are so many delicious foods that are only available in this area.

I m from peshawar. He missed many places and many foods of peshawar . Yes there r many villages . He just visit very small area (part) of peshawar. There r many food varieties including vegetables. And most famous drink is green tea. I think he just cover 0.5% area of peshawar. There r most of food varieties .he just eat beef😮

In street food they want to show the popular places which often serve meat, but there are plenty of really good veg options in all of Pakistan. i am from Peshawar. as according to your discussion about not using vegetables, but here in kpk Peshawar , it use most of fresh vegetables other side the meat is famous. i thank so Peshawar food market is the best market in all Pakistan.

Dear you concluded that there is no consumption of vegetables in Peshawar. To make it clear Peshawar is a valley and it is the best Peach producing and pear producing area. Apricots and plums are also produced here. As far as vegetables are concerned bhindi (okra), tori (zuchinni), loki (guard), karela (bitter guard), petha kaddu (pumpkin) are produced here. As to why Mark Weins did not eat any vegetables in Peshawar its because of the preference of people to go out to eat something extraordinary. Vegetables are daily and staple food but so when they go out they say "sabzian to ghar par bhi khate hi hain." Meat and chicken are also cooked in the homes but it is mostly stew while the one in restaurants and hostels are in the form of karahi and tikka . So people consider it a sumptuous and luxurious meal and go out to enjoy it otherwise they make such things on bakra Eid, on weddings, on special occasions and for the guests. Hope it clears things.
