On the outset, I praise you both for your unbiased reaction on this video. This is technically a “NASHEED” with a touch of HAMD Moreover, I do endorse your statement that the lyrics are not just limited to Muslims alone as the lyrics comprise of the feelings as well as the prayers that nearly every person of almost every religion carries within his heart & mind. After all our ALLAH or GOD (as many say) or RABB is not limited to any particular religion, sect, cast or creed. The ALMIGHTY is for everyone across the universes….we all are his creatures even if we accept it or not…The ALMIGHTY is our creator. You both are doing a great service for the humanity by promoting interfaith harmony which is essentially needed to bridge the gaps between fellow humans. Commonly the term naʽat is reserved for poetry in the praise of Muhammad (pbuh). In Arabic, naat is usually called madih (praise) or nasheed (poetry), although the nasheed can describe any type of religious poetry. This will not be considered a Naat.
