It must be an awesome feeling to have a group of folks from another country show respect to your culture and do such a bang up job of representing you. I love this song. It had to grow on me but after my third time listening to it, it became my third favorite BabyMetal song.

Great reaction and very interesting to see an Indian analysis of the song. And I'm happy that Babymetal made you happy as well. They are not known for using other cultures disrespectfully, and I'm happy to hear that's the case. All the best to you and your family. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

Wow! That was an amazing reaction and the explanation was even more impressive. Sometimes people is worried about playing music from other cultures but with BABYMETAL you know that it will be done with maximum respect. I'm so glad you enjoyed this one so much, that means a lot to us. See you next time!

⚡ 💕 / 🕉 ☮ I have heard that "Shanti" repeated three times (like the song title), means peace in body, speech, and mind. Your views about of "Maya" were super interesting. The explanation I'm familiar with, is that it has to do with the veil of illusion that is manifested as the material world. Moa said it was difficult learning to do the hand gestures for this dance, but I'll bet they all still had fun learning and performing this one. They always like a challenge, and the end result is so beautiful. Definitely one of my favorites from the latest album.
@AllViralReaction

Yes Maya will mean illusion precisely but it can be vast in a deeper level. So In the video i couldn't actually put it into exact words to describe it. You seems to know a lot. Thank you for Enlightening me 😇

Thank you so much for your reaction and the detailed explanations of the Sanskrit words you heard, that was fascinating. I love Su-metal's vocals in particular in this song and it brings back some very happy memories of my brief time working in New Delhi in 1998 and the music the local staff I worked with would bring to play at parties. One of the things I admire about Babymetal is that they will always show respect to the genres and styles of music and their origins.

@@AllViralReaction I loved it in India, even though I was there working (and working hard) I did get a little time off to see some of the country with trips to Agra and the Taj Mahal and to Shimla. Perhaps 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (Bullying, No More, For Ever) would be a good song for your next reaction - it is very different. This was their first appearance at a major event outside of Asia, Sonisphere metal festival in the UK 2014 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNVdksaTy8rWiXk.html They were 16 and just 15 and unknown to the vast majority of the crowd of over 50,000 metalheads. This was the last of 5 songs they performed on the main stage, watch to the end to hear what the crowd thought of them.

I've just recently become aware of Babymetal and particularly the Metal Galaxy album. I especially love this track - it's such a refreshing fusion of styles. Now, as a midwest white dude in the US, I have no idea what is being said, but I love the sound. I also wanted to see the reactions of others, especially Indian voices in response to the use of words and styles. I haven't seen negative reactions yet, but I'm heartened to see such positive reactions, that the borrowed styles were applied accurately and respectfully. The look on your face was what I felt on the inside - yes, Su-metal's voice is phenomenal.

Thank you so much for your reaction, the explanation of the Sanskrit is really nice to hear! I'm very happy you enjoyed Babymetal's attempt at an Indian-style song, growing up my best friend was a boy from India and we would sometimes watch Indian TV and listen to Indian songs at his house, so this song gives me a lot of nostalgic and happy feelings. The last album has a little cluster of songs that explore world music and merge it with heavy metal. Shanti Shanti Shanti as you have seen, Papaya that is a thai party song, Night Night Burn that has a kinda latin party dance feeling, or Oh Majinai were you can smell the russian folk style. Thank you for the insight in the words they are using with the song. Su-metal vocal skills are crazy, world class. Everything in the band works perfect but they wouldn't be a world phenomenon if it wasn't for the talent of this girl.

I've not yet listened to your almost certainly more enlightened full reaction, but before I do that let me comment my own reaction. This is definitely my favourite song of the latest album, because it is so different and strange to me musically, but still executed with BM perfection. The theme of "peace" resonates in another way too. This is clearly a song showing some sort of connection across cultures. Basically put; is this "The One" but going a bit more global?
