Rebel 1100 owner: I want a practical bike at a good price with lot's of features and modes and is comfy for long rides. Rogue owner: I want a bad-ass bike that inspires me to ride and makes me just stare it for hours in the garage for no apparent reason.

The Rebel is definitely not comfortable for long rides, but I still love it. Plus with all the aftermarket customizations, I still stare at it, like "damn".

I love my standard Rebel 1100, but those Scouts are good looking bikes.

I've rode both back to back. Obviously to each their own, but I went with the Rogue for several non-practical reasons. V-twin felt and sounded more alive. The Rogue looked a lot more beautiful than the Rebel. I'm a bigger guy and I looked a bit off on the Rebel. Ultimately both bikes are great, but if you're riding for fun, it's hard to beat the Rogue. If you're riding for practicality, the Rebel has the edge with many factors like cruise control, fuel gauge, fuel economy, dct. My problem was only wanting to ride the Rebel for trips, whereas I loved riding the Rogue any chance I could get.

Well done and an outstanding comparison choice. I feel that the Indian Scout compares better to the Honda Rebel better than anything currently in the Harley-Davidson line-up. As far as national origin is most certainly one of those intangible factors. It was for me when I purchased a used 1998 Honda Valkyrie, which along with Honda's flagship Gold Wing, had been for nearly 3 decades, assembled in Ohio, the heartland of America. On a side note I always felt that it was a marketing mistake for Honda to relocate Gold Wing production back to Japan. That being said, most of the bikes I've owned over the years were made in Japan. By and large I prefer multi cylinder(V-4s & F-6s)bikes which are decidedly non-American! Kudos to Polaris, Indian's parent company, for not only reestablishing the Indian name, but for recapturing that lost style & heritage. Strangely enough two non-American manufacturers Triumph and Kawasaki are noteworthy in the Indian lore. Triumph for what it takes to revitalize a long dormant marque. And Kawasaki, with their 1990s Indian tribute model, the Drifter, showing that there is a demand and interest for a 21st century Indian. Well done presentation and good luck with your channel.

I have 2022 honda rebel dct,im sure would win againt indian in 1/2 race , i also have 2022 streetbob 114 ,picked end of November,can wait until spring to ride ,

I own rogue sixty and the chief. Rogue is the most fun to ride but at 80+ the frame starts to rattle

@@lostinspace013 No, b/c the Rebel is factory speed limited at 100mph. Dumb race anyhow.. The Scout shines and makes torque best above 6k rpm's. 0-60 Rebel wins. 60-100 Scout pulls away. Different strokes for different folks.

@@onetimer100 Nah man, In first 500 meters Rebel will be so far ahead then Scout will never catch it to the finish line. Also : factory speed limit is quite easy to delete.

Current Hondas are awful looking beasts, with their abbreviated, chopped off fake gas tanks, blacked out motors, and no style or harmony in either the motors or chassis. Soichiro would puke!

Last year I took my son, who wanted to get into riding, out to several dealerships representing all the major brands & styles of motorcycles. When we got to the Indian dealer, he absolutely fell in luv with the Scout! After completing the MSF beginner course and a summer with '06 Suzuki Savage 650, he fulfilled his dream and bought a Scout Bobber. Now I find myself going into the garage for no other reason than to look at my son's new Indian!

While I do feel that the Scout is a hands down style winner over the Rebel, I give Honda credit for breaking out of the "wannabe" style mold. Nobody is gonna mistake it for an H-D let alone any other brand. That being said the Indian Scout reminds me of Honda's 1987-88 Magna. That Magna had the right mix of style and performance and it came in Soichiro's preferred size, namely 750cc!
