It was very challenging and adventurous because of the Police and Military Check posts.

As an Iranian from Khuzestan. I would like to add most khuzestanies are not Arabs most Arabs live in khuzestan there is a difference; Khuzestan is known for its ethnic diversity; the population of Khuzestan consists of Lurs and Bakhtiari's, Iranian Arabs, Qashqai people (Turks), Afshars (Turks), indigenous Persians (Dezfuli-Shushtari, Behbahani), Kurds and Iranian Armenians and Assyrians. Khuzestan's population is predominantly Shia Muslim, but there are small Christian, Jewish, Sunni and Mandean minorities. Half of Khuzestan's population is Lur. Khuzestan is one of the ancient and oil rich region of Iran however it is also the most battered after 8years of Iran and Iraq war and due to a lot of government mismanagements.

This province looks very diversified. Are Lurs people on other areas too? Do most people in this area speak Arabic as a second language?

@@esotericonetwork Yes Lurs live in a few provinces mainly in the west and southwest of Iran: Lorestan, Fars, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgoluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Khuzestan, Hamadan, Isfahan, Tehran and southern Ilam Province. The majority of non-Arabs do not speak Arabic, although some have learned it or have a basic understanding. Khuzestan has a population of 33% Arabs who are bilingual in both Persian and Arabic. Most of the rest speak dialects similar to Persians, such as the Lurs and Bakhtiari's who speak Luri, which is middle Persian.

Perhaps they were telling you about Imam Khomeini , Al Hindi was used as his surname due to his Indian connection. His grandfather was from a small town near Lucknow.

We want our Muslim people mindset like you in our country,♥️, but our country only have radical, communal and anti-national (99 out of 100). and tourvashu bhai, You are safe because you always have camera along with you, your camera is the reason why you are save,. Hi Tourvashu, there were reports of protests and disturbance around this region of Iran due to rising cost and so on. I think Dezful was one of the cities reporting some issues. Wonderful travel diary! Heavily loaded with information! You are basically a walking wikivoyage portal! The hospitality is beyond incredible and truly surprised that the taxi driver did not take any money for dropping you at the station! Wow!
