I'm happy that it's in 1st person for two reasons: 1- First person games are much more immersive. 2- not being in third person will distance itself a lot from Tomb Raider and Uncharted, narrative games in this style are getting tiring. The game is incredible, apparently it will have a lot of action and puzzle solving. machinnegames is very competent in the games it makes.

100%. I recently played through RE Village and I think that's a prime example of a game that thrives on being First Person and so I totally am down for more First person games that utalize it to help put the gamer seamlessly into the world.

Given that its being made by Machine Games, i'm SO EXCITED! Their Wolfenstein games are amazing story telling games with real life historical elements blended within. They are perfect for this franchise! I hope there is stealth!

So this is like Farcry meets Uncharted. If they implement the classic indy punch sound in every punch you make in the game then this game has potential

If you like this and love Indiana Jones check out other games from this developer Machinegames: -Wolfenstein Old Blood -Wolfenstein New Order -Wolfenstein New Colossus Its heavily inspired by indiana jones (but way more brutal) and also have nazis in it ;)

the game will be both first person and third person cause when you do like fighting it will be first person and when you do wall climbing the camera will zoom out to third person🙂🙂🙂😉

They talk about the reason they chose first person a bit in the Direct. It's not my favorite, but I'm here for it either way!

As said, they explain why in the developer direct presentation. Machine Games also has extensive experience with first person games. Also if it was third person then it would be just another third person action adventure game which has already been done to death. It would also just get compared to Tomb Raider and Uncharted instead of being its own thing. There is a third person perspective for traversal sequences and cinematics.

Because if it was completely third person it would just be compared to the very franchises it helped inspire those being Tomb Raider and Uncharted at least making main camera position third and occasionally switching to third helps imo immerse the player into going on the adventure FROM Indy’s literal perspective

BOO. We've seen Nazis a million times. They couldn't do something off the wall like Temple of Doom? I wanna see something NEWWW. Isn't Indiana Jones supposed to be cool because he's had a million different crazy adventures. At least put in Short Round. Rip off the Last of Us/God of War thing.

Just get a PS5 in addition to PC (or Xbox if you can't afford a high end 4090 rig like mine) and Switch, then you'll be able to play everything. That's what I did, so I can play any game because I own all devices.
