What do they mean by unqualified candidates? After applying for a patrolman position across the state, what is it that makes so many citizens unqualified, and what can we do to change that?

Starters get rid of that polygraph I was 100 percent truthful and still didn’t pass I didn’t even want to be a cop anymore after that dumb experience

There are 4 occupations that are always hiring: law enforcement, education, medical,, and transportation. I’ve been a truck driver for 10 and hate my job because I know how crooked it is. I’ve yet to figure out why trucking companies go to great lengths to screw their drivers. Without drivers the corporate bean counters wouldn’t have a job or a paycheck. There would be no company without drivers.

No....don't need the Nat'l Guard on the streets just yet....Guardsmen have full time jobs also....They are there in time of emergencies....it's not that time yet....and yes, I was a Guardsman....and...I'm one who was past up for different depts also....

After 27 years I can tell you that if your interested in Law Enforcement, your out of your mind. The job sucks and you deal with assholes, and in some cases you work with assholes, but most are good. Stay away!
