Along Indianapolis' west side interstates Tuesday morning, an extra set of eyes - looking down from the passenger seat of an 18-wheeler - watched over drivers. (Matt Kryger/IndyStar)

Police need to be observed as well. They should get the same punishment we all get. My dash cam actually caught a State Trooper driving reckless and speeding on a highway. I spoke with the Troop Command about the incident and filed a complaint. It didn’t go anywhere and they didn’t care. I turned in my video to the State AG and filed the complaint with the AG. All in all….the Trooper was issued a traffic citation. Shortly after, he resigned.

@@robertstewart1262 I drive a lot (50,000 miles a year) on 4 wheels. I’m not sure where the stats come from; however, trucks are my main problem. The only vehicle to hit me on the interstate has been a 18 wheeler. Swerved into my lane, pushed me into the grass, then hit me. Many times trucks have changed lanes, pushing vehicles off the road. This causes accidents, but the trucks keep going, having hit nothing. If slower traffic (trucks) would stay in the travel lane and not the passing lane this wouldn’t happen. Truck are a menace! I have to drive at night to get away from them. This is not ideal for me.

@@northseabrent Dude, cops are significantly less complicated and clever than they make themselves out to be. They really shouldn't be doing stupid shit like this unless they had the intelligence to do so. Save this shit for special divisions, aka officers who have the mind to actually make this stuff effective. Police officers can barely drive let alone form complicated plans to stop aggressive driving. It's a joke how useless they truly are. Maybe they should prioritize routine surveillance and routine patrols instead of sitting in a ghost car randomly in the middle of the street and still not pull over anyone going over 60. I was arrested by a state trooper, we had a nice conversation when he put me in the front of his car in the passanger's seat about how most officers don't have the capacity or skill to operate at certain levels, especially on the streets. What was I arrested for? Outrunning a state trooper. You know what would've prevented me from running? Proper surveillance and officers set up frequently in the right places to prevent people from getting angsty.

I was TOTALLY thinking the same thing as you and then I saw what they were doing also and I'm ok with it. I see people drive like COMPLETE MORONS all the time. One day driving down a city street barely 2 lanes, one lane going each direction and this little Pontiac Grand am flew past me on the right side on the sidewalk at about 90 MPH I'm not kidding or embellishing the story one single bit. I chased the jerk down and he pulled into a liquor store. It had a Raiders sticker the size of the back window on the car and the gangster wannabe kid about 20 years old got out of the car and started spitting on my truck. The city police would not do anything so I just left. He wasn't from my town so I wasn't really worried about him looking for me to retaliate. Even though he would have surely killed anyone that stepped out onto the sidewalk. That's just one of many stories of humans with not much of a brain that I've seen doing some incredibly ignorant things.

There are three books you have to read, memorize, study and get tested on It takes 6 weeks before you can drive a coach bus. The training is enormous for a bus and guess what.it's even worse for a truck driver especially driving hazardous materials. A CDL driver is must be held to a much higher standard than a regular guy put putting in a car. Ok...here's what you need to know. If you see a truck or bus coming your way? Get out of his way. If you cut me off? I can't stop. I"m not going to swerve to avoid you, and take out the poor guy next to me. You will get creamed. If I put my turn signals on? I"m telling you. This is not a request. @@amarreder6241 it's to prevent the police from doing shady stuff like this. Officers have to be visible for 500 feet and be in a marked unit to pull you over unless there is a extreme circumstance. It something I completely agree with I disagree with government overreach and what's more overreaching than not being able to face your accuser in a court of law because the one who actually wrote the ticket didn't witness the crime/infraction

@@amarreder6241 lmao I don't understand who you think I am. I'm not some liberal I'm actually anti-government I have no problem with the police following procedures and protecting the rights of people however I draw a line against that when police or people think police should be above the law... in a court if a civilian is suing you it can't just be someone who heard you did something wrong it has to be the "victim" that's where the right to face your accuser comes in. If a police officer who didn't witness the infraction directly gives you a ticket how can he without a doubt testify in a court that you actually made the infraction if he didn't even witness it.

My father and 2 of my uncles (all in their 60s) were truck drivers for years. My dad hasn't driven truck in a long time but 1 uncle is still a driver and the other one just went back to driving for extra income due to the p(l)andemic.. I've always had mad respect and appreciation for truck drivers. Most people have no idea just how important u guys really are. Lol and u was sugar coating the thing about shutting down a city.. Without truckers, the entire 🌎stops spinning. 👏🙏

Bullsh.t! How about doing a study on how many truckers lost their lives because you needed us to keep this country going and we stayed out here putting our health at risk. And this is the thanks we get? I got pulled over for doing 62 in a 55 on 465 and given csa points. I swear let it be another pandemic or any reason for me to park! It's sad that we don't realize as truckers the power we have.
