Can't believe this rivalry is basically over because Calipari wanted both teams to go out of their way to play a neutral game. He doesn't seem to have a good reason to not want to play a home and home beyond "I don't want to", which just makes him seem whiny. Then again, considering that the first thing he did after the loss to UNC in this past year's tournament was point fingers at the officials, maybe he just is whiny.

Cal doesn’t have a good reason? Seriously? In 2012 when UK played in Bloomington the IU fans cussed at uk fans spit on fans (a little kid in one case), threatened and keyed UK fans vehicles. Not to mention the nasty things they said to the UK players parents, in particular Anthony Davis’s mother. Then you had the court storm which almost caused Darius Miller to get trampled and a young female UK fan did get trampled and was hurt fairly bad. Cal said that night he would never bring a team back there and he stuck to his word. I don’t blame him a bit for nothing playing a home and home. IU fans don’t know how to act and create an unsafe environment.

This was actually a crazy matchup, lots of futures nba player on both sides. Jamal Murray, OG Anunoby, Thomas Bryant, Tyler Ulis, Yogi Ferrell

sam t if your team was barely seeded and managed to beat a team that was hyped up to have a perfect season and a title, you'd have done the same thing at rupp. It's literally no different, I know plenty of IU and U.K. fans, only difference is IU fans don't have anger and/or addiction issues in my experience, not that it has anything to do with UK at all.

The last really good IU team 🥲. Yogi Ferrel, Troy Williams, Thomas Bryant, OG Anunoby. So great. Plus a ton of good role players like Robert Johnson, Max Bielfeldt, Nick Zeisloft, Colin Hartman, Juwan Morgan. One of my favorite teams.

Calipari refuses to play on the road at Assembly Hall. That's the only reason the yearly rivalry has ended.

This was probably the most talented team IU has ever had. Even the bench was amazing. Ziesloft was one the best 3 point shooters we've ever seen, and Morgan became the best post player I've seen at IU in the 40 years I've been watching them. Crean sure could recruit, but sadly he can't coach worth a lick.

Indiana just had our number this game. We couldn't ever build a run, and when we would they would pop another three, sometimes back to back. I'm quite nervous about our chances THIS year in the coming up Tournament. With the loss of Reid Travis, this Team is soft as a freaking tissue. Could be a very short March experience for us once more, regardless of what seed they give us. At this point, I'm sadly counting on yet another Second Round exit...
