In the olden days(30-35) years back this train was called Super Delux AC Express,was running with 8-10 bogies just like MMCT Rajdhani.Also this train was headed by twin alcos or diesel engines,again same like Rajdhani.Also I think it was opening from Bandra Terminus & not Mumbai Central.We were watching this train at Bandra-Khar region in our college days.

I have some great memories of travelling in Paschim Express from Mumbai to Ambala Cantt during my summer vacations every year.Though it doesn't happen every year now but I make sure that I'll travel only in Paschim Express whenever I plan to visit Ambala.

Satya Bhai Gujarat ka pehla station umbargaam hai .. bordi station se Maharashtra end hota hai .. uske baad umbargaam aata hai to Gujarat ka pehla station umbargaam ban jata hai .. umbargaam mera villege hai !!!

The train can be speeded up but unfortunately WR never took initiative to speed up this legend. Strange that it faces so many overtakes from new trains throughout its journey. This can easily go through Poorva way, even after LHB coaches and speeding up of so many trains, sadly, Paschim was not touched at all.

Western Line in Maharashtra is just around 130km, it ends just after Bordi Station which comes after Dahanu Road which is the last major station in Maharashtra on western line. the speed is currently capped at 60kmph from MMCT to Borivali, upto 90kmph till Virar and around 110kmph till Dahanu road due to current track conditions. nowadays, Track 3 and 4 are being built from Virar to Dahanu road with specifications for support till 160kmph, and when those are done, all traffic will be shifted to 3 and 4 and then upgradation of tracks 1 and 2 will start.

Please don't spread incorrect information. Permissible speed between Mumbai Central & Borivali is 100 kmph, between Borivali Virar it is 110 kmph, after Virar it's 130 kmph. Now the tracks after Virar are being upgraded from 130 kmph to 160 kmph, the 3rd and 4th lines between Virar & Dahanu won't be fit for 160 kmph, 110 or 120 kmph at the most.

@@railfanVishal why would railways build new lines for only 110kmph??? Many blogs have been made, some with aerial drone footage showing the new rail lines being built. Current lines 1 and 2 are old lines which have too much traffic to give time slots needed for upgrade to high speed alignment. So line 3 and 4 are being built for high speed, the traffic diverted on them while line 1 & 2 get upgraded. Then line 1 2 will be mostly for emu memu while 3 and 4 will be for outstation. Note DFC lines and bullet train lines are different from these 4 lines

@@railfanVishal you are correct about Virar-Dahanu section being already at 130kmph. i saw a newer video with railfan showing speed at around 128kmph on a train after crossing Virar. but about the line 3 and 4 being newly built, why would it be built for only 110 kmph ? i think that would be built for 160 or more kmph since those tracks will be mostly used by long distance / Express outstation trains while one and two will be used for EMUs and slower passenger trains.

that line split at Vasai link is the line which connected Vasai to Diva so that northern trains can go to either Pune and beyond via Karjat, to Nashik and beyond via Kasara (though i am sure there are other routes for that too) and to Konkan railway via Diva - Panvel -Roha. but main usage still is for freight which connects to Mumbai's JNPT (though its use for freight will go down once western DFC gets completed).

bhai pehle paschim express bandra terminus se jati thi aur uske last 3 coaches kalka bhi jate the ambala se. mai bachpan me gaya tha shimla tabhi yahi train se kalka gaya tha

For your information, Paschim Express was initially operating from Mumbai Central and then it was shifted to Bandra Terminus. Due to platform remodeling at Bandra Terminus, it has been shifted to Mumbai Central since last 6 months or more.

1. Ghat section is difficult to maintain, no expansion expected therefore. 2. Road connectivity between Goa & Bangalore is pretty good and hundreds of daily buses ply on the road. So the demand is also less. 3. Self driving enthusiasts also keep the demand in check.

Vande Bharat Needed Much Vande Bharat make easy to reach Full Line Is Electrifed Till hubali Alredy Reached just in 5 hr 15 min somthing From hubali to Goa Just 150 km even with 50 of avg speed can Reach in 3 hr So total 8 hr 30 min max Hopefully They understand and extend up to Goa. I am Sure if Vande Bharat will introduce Waiting List cross 200-500% +

The Vasco express , the only train from Bangalore to Madgaon reaches goa at a weird time of 4.00 am ..... finding transport is a nightmare in goa . And then you have to hire a cab there , for which you have to sell a kidney to pay for 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Moral of the story . Worst connectivity. Must be some political gimmick. If the train connection improves , less people will fly and less money for the concerned people.

Bro you could have followed a sequence or a cycle becoz you started in Kolkata you travelled until Delhi and now you are traveling again to Delhi. If you would have followed a sequence it would have been great because people who wants to travel in a cyclic path then they would have covered all poles. Anyhow you wanted to start or end your destination is Delhi which is okay. Great work as usual❤
