Here in the USA paranormal is a big tourism draw. If something happened in a building, they let you know. And often charge extra.

We have hauntings in my family going back to 1900. My familiars are ghost cats. Paranormal practices were very popular in the US during the "Spiritualism" movement that started in upstate New York in the 1840s and peaked worldwide in the 1890s. Upstate New York was famous for Rip Van Winkle and Headless Horseman stories.

At 4:35, he is exaggerating when he talks about "hundreds" killed at Fort McHenry. In fact, there were only four people killed in the bombardment of Fort McHenry, and only about 75 killed in the entire Battle of Baltimore. The city doesn't belong on this list. It is a quirky city and, in many places, a blighted city. It isn't really creepy, unless you bring your own paranoia with you.

I am very aware of the spirit activity in New Orleans and it's placement as most haunted city. I have gone there all my life, my family has been there for 100's of yrs. with my grandmother being born there. My friend went there and stayed over night, but left the next day, she had a haunting experience. I asked why she even tried staying the night in the most haunted city in the US, knowing she is afraid of ghosts. Ghosts have never scared me, maybe that's why they don't mess with me when I have stayed there visiting family.

I live in Utah. We have a weirdly large amount of paranormal shenanigans here for being such a young state. But a lot of it is Native American history.

I live just across the bay from San Francisco, and I worked in that city for a few years in a music store that was once an old home a hundred + years ago, and when I started there, people told me it's always haunted around the end of the year, I didn't believe them until one evening I actually saw a spirit behind me, and that same night a co worker saw someone else in the store after we had closed and locked up and it was just the co worker and myself there, until I saw the ghost, and felt it's presence behind me, and my co worker saw it in the form of a man walking around. It was kind of spooky to say the least.

"Creepyness" 😆👌... love it... These places aren't that bad. The narration over dramatizes the events for tourism. You can still love San Francisco, its a beautiful city. Just stay out of the tenderloin district😆🙏✌️🕉⚔️🕺🇮🇳💃❤️

I believe this guy who made this video is far creepier than any city he talks about.

A friend of mine and I went on a haunted history tour while in New Orleans years ago. The LaLaurie mansion was super creepy. There's also a couple of places that used to be orphanages until they burned down in a couple of the Great Fires, and you can supposedly hear/see/sense the ghosts of the children who died. And if serial killers are more of your style, there's also the Axeman of New Orleans, who brutally murdered a bunch of people in the early 1900s, then sent out a letter claiming they were the Devil, but would spare any house that played jazz music. My own town, Pascagoula, has its own share of spooky things. There's an old house on the beach called the Longfellow House, that's supposed to be haunted by the ghosts of slaves. Then there's an alien abduction that supposedly happened back in the 1970s that brought a bunch of alien enthusiasts around to investigate. The Pascagoula River is also known as the Singing River, because the Pascagoula tribe, fearing to be conquered by the much stronger Biloxi, chose instead to march into the river to their deaths, singing the entire time. The weirdest story, though, is the Phantom Barber. Back in the 1940s, he was breaking into people's houses and cutting locks of hair off girls, but didn't take anything else, and they never figured out who did it.

I live in San Francisco in the Haight/Ashbury. This place is truly Gotham. I love it so much. I am from here. This place has a lot of history. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Ohhh, yes, we have a lot of tales to tell here for sure. I myself live on top of an old Chinese cemetery. If you're coming towards SF going towards the Golden Gate Bridge around 4 p.m., you can see the whole city has disappeared in the fog. Don't be afraid to come here...lol. you would enjoy it . The views are breathtaking, great food so much to see and do. We have a diverse population here, too. Everyone is welcome. 🌉

The US has a lot of supposedly haunted locations. Some near me include the ferry plantation, where witch ducking occurred, and the old house woods, which is known to be one of the most haunted locations in the world.

I have an ancestor who was accused of being a witch during the Salem Witch Trials. She escaped death, but died shortly afterwards from stress due to the ordeal (she was about 68 when she died)

New Orleans s the best other that the huge crime problem. Everything there is old and kind of rundown outside the central business district. But they say New Orleans is beautiful in it's decay for a reason. You should check out videos on the city and especially the French Quarter. There are ghost tours and vampire tours in the Quarter. Oh yeah other that the ghost there is also a vampire issue in New Orleans.
