My fellow indians, Jallikattu is just not a tradition , or a sport of valor; it is an art form of breeding practice.. One should approach Jallikattu in the right perspective, i.e., one should approach in a scientific way.. Banning Jallikattu will pave way for losing native cattle breeds..

@@amnashafqatusmani7779 The sport involves tying a cloth with gold coins to the bull's horns (salli-coins, kattu-tie) hence the name...The bulls are tested for strength and endurance...men try to hold on the hump on the running bull trying to release the coins, if the men succeed in getting the coins they are rewarded and the bull is made into a bullock but if the bull can push through without getting caught it is considered the best and hence used for breeding...if this sport is stopped this breeding practice will die...

தபுதாரன் is the Tamil word for widower... Tamil tradition as it's own dignity and we had all a human need via our tradition and philosophy with us. we were guided wrong and it's our time for our comeback... it includes jallikattu...

well!! 1st u claimed it is a tamil word and then extended to tamil tradition now the answer is, neither in tamil nor in sanskrit it means a widower the word tevidiyal means a promiscuous woman lately but its actual and ancient or original meaning was a nun. teva+adiyaal/adiyaar, adiyaars are spiritual activity servants...not the later meaning ..post krishnadevarayar era tevadiyals being exploited for sex.. similarly tapudharan means fire holder or the person who lit the fire (as if wife expired he wil be lite the fire) but this is only applicable for certain community and also restricted for cremation and if he is childless. this word is not used or prevalent Tamilnadu.

Thanks to india today television for discuss about jallikattu, Please go to the village area (Madurai) and discuss with "farmers" about jallikattu ( who can explain you well about jallikattu) and show it to the whole india including supreme court.. and in this meeting there are 5 womens and they are not from a farmer family and also it is not a women game. in india every states have separate cultures,languages, etc... so jallikattu is one of our culture(tamil).............we will not allow to anyone to break our culture.. if we are getting loss for our culture and traditional through a part of india then no need.. better to be alone ( Separate Country)
