Genuinely chill and enjoyable video you got here. And obviously I completely agree with you, I believe the key difference between AAA games and INDIE games is that: AAA games are made for the purpose of profit, and a consistent one at that. We've already seen how multiple studios who have developed amazing games have been shut down, just because those amazing games are not live service or as milkable as the companies' other main franchises that have lost any taste or color they've previously had. While INDIE games are filled with passion and care, the purpose is to make a game to be loved and enjoyed, to tell a story, to convey feelings, to leave a mark on you. Unfortunately these money hungry corporations and individuals keep colonizing and ruining our artistic and creative industries (Games, Music, Art, Animation....) . . Don't even get me started on AI. (i'm losing my shit chat)
@DANiLAD123
@DANiLAD123 21 күн бұрын
Very well said my dude! The AI issue is actually something that genuinely worries me a lot, there is absolutely nothing about AI that makes me feel comfortable.

@@DANiLAD123 Unfortunately i don't think AI is going anywhere, however i do hope that enough laws exist that it goes back to its intended purpose, being a tool, a tool to make things easier and more efficient. Not a tool to CREATE things, not a tool to take away jobs and fuck our industries.

Naiveity is beautiful. Indie games are made just as much for a profit. If anything, an indie game requires the profit more than a triple A game, because you get paid whether or not the game does well in a corporate environment. Passion doesn't pay the bills. The developers in AAA studios are just as passionate. It's just that the requirements placed on them by the publishers force them to compromise their vision.
@thatcatwithdrip
@thatcatwithdrip 13 күн бұрын
@@MrGamelover23 I never said anything about the developers for the AAA games not being passionate, but the higher ups, publishers, shareholders don't have that word in their vocabulary, so yeah AAA games are made for the sake of profit. And no, indie games are not made for profit, most of them at least, it is a small group of people if not one person who guarantee no success, no payback for their efforts or any of that sort, they're not counting on any of that, they just wanna make a video game, because they love making video games, they wanna make a video game they're genuinely proud of, this goes same for any person wanting to create or make something. The difference being as said before, indie groups are independent, which also means all fuck ups will have to be taken by them. Also just because "money is required" doesn't mean money is the goal dude, take a chill pill, not all life and people are like that. We all know money is always a necessity, but for indie games the goal is to make an amazing game they're passionate about, as you said they can't rely on anything to guarantee some sort of income, they can't guarantee it, so the only reason they'd be doing it, once AGAIN, is because they're passionate, its something THEY wanna create, and once again, this goes the same way for anyone wanting to create anything (art, animation, music etc...).

It's a shame you can't edit and replace already existing videos on KZfaq without deleting it and re-uploading again. That's my bad tho, I thought it sounded fine, but in the future I'll try and not make the same mistake again. :)

Maybe, it's just that whenever I get the urge to play a certain game I'm often put off by the fact that I have to download/re-download it, especially if it's a pretty big game, so I end up having to make room for something that I'll end up deleting eventually anyway to make more room again for something else lmao.
