I can’t even fathom why but this song always strikes something in me and it’s one of my favorites. I can’t pinpoint a specific event in my life nor person that this reminds me of but every time I hear this song I tear up

Its very interesting how so many people see this song in different perspectives, for me it reminds me of my mom and how she always abandoned me, how when we cuddled i fell asleep and woke up to an empty bed wondering where she went. The line "if you run away please come home" cits deep because my mom left me for 1 year and 6 months without contact and i was scared she left forever.

A boy introduced me to this song 2 years ago. He used to call me his "sunshine" and as cliché as this sounds, he was REALLY like a gloomy gray sky. There wasn't any romance between us, but we were good friends. Whenever he was down, he would talk to me, but I never really understood how he felt so I just listened. But our friendship ended last year because we study in different schools now. I can't believe I stumbled upon this song again, but this time I don't have that "sunshine" in me anymore. As the song plays, I remember him and I'm crying because this is how he must've felt and I just get it now. EDIT: I've read a lot of comments that suggested I should reach out to him at some point and- gosh I don't know where to begin. Life can really throw you off sometimes. No, I haven't contacted him yet and I've actually decided not to because when I looked him up through his FB, I saw that he's REALLY better than before. And I just don't want to mess it up again. I know what it's like to be in a dark place and finally learning to pick yourself up again and I don't want to meddle with his hard earned progress. And just 2 months ago, I let go of a very toxic relationship with a manipulative, egoistic narcissist whose last words to me was "Whatever it is that you are looking for in a relationship, it doesn't exist. It's just a fairytale." But since then there's not a day that goes by that my hope that one day I'll meet the very reason why I didn't choose to settle with my ex. Right now, I'm just focusing on building and correcting myself not for anyone but for me. The world just has its way of making you feel lost and you keep looking for something to complete you in the wrong places, in the wrong people. But I realized, I am my own home. EDIT (after 2 years): I’ll keep this short. I caught a glimpse of my once gloomy friend with his buddies while I was riding a taxi. I know him well enough to tell that he was glowing happily and genuinely. Istg. And that sight of him was enough for me to sit back for the rest of the ride, beside the person I’m spending the rest of my life with.

i’m not depressed i’m just sad sometimes.

Listened to this for the first time in 2017. It was with a girl I had just met in the 7th grade-my first time over her house. We weren’t very close at this time, but as years passed quickly, way too quickly, we became the other halves of each other. We were both at the lowest we’d been so far. The first time I heard this song, she had played it. We were sitting in her jacuzzi outside at 2 am, in the middle of a blizzard wearing only our bathing suits. We had sleepovers multiple times a week for years, and every time we would have the same routine. Jacuzzi, adventure time, madoka mágica, guardians of the galaxy, xtreme goldfish, Roblox, then go upstairs and pass out on her large bunk beds with the blue blankets. I remember how her sheets smelled, and how the atmosphere of her room always felt more like home than my own house. Things continued to worsen, and our mental health dropped to frightening depths. She was sickly, always in the hospital for some chronic illness. Her family had been moving all over the country in search of doctors who could find out what was wrong with her, and never did they have any luck. She was my everything, and the only person I ever had. The only other one who could really understand me. She said that I was the same for her. She started walking in my dreams for a week straight. I am a person who dreams every night without fail for all my life-but the week she dreamt of me, I didn’t dream once any of those nights. The dreams were odd, she said, with fog and a willow tree and an empty landscape. She died four years ago. I haven’t been able to cope, and every day since then has been like I’m outside of my body and watching from one big dream. I came back to this song today, since I have been avoiding it since she passed away. Thank you for the memories.

No racism, no corona, just HAPPINESS with my family. My friends are fake, and i’m trying to find new ones. But anyways i just wish i could visit a world but come right back to this one if that makes sense. update: i got new friends they are literally so freaking sweet and i already love them so much as friends. they’re already a new chapter to my life. i stopped talking to those three girls because i was so tired of being excluded and being talked crap about. but now that i look at it i literally talk to so many people now and those three girls look so lonely. it’s like now that i’m friends with others and am happier they try coming back into my life. so far these new friends seem like the right choice, but i’ll have to see over time. just know that things get better ❤️

"One day after my suicide" The day after my suicide, I loved my mother even more, when I saw her crying on the floor of my room, hugging my clothes with my photos scattered around her, I saw so much love past the tears in her eyes. The day after my suicide, I felt how much my father loved me, no matter how hard it was, in the midst of so much sadness, he spoke to me with tears in his eyes about how proud he was of me and how much he loved me. The day after my suicide, I saw Tumble (my furry best friend) was more incredible than I could imagine. Everytime someone came home, he would run to the door excited to see me, and seeing that it was not me, would lay down in front of the door and continue waiting for me. The day after my suicide, I felt the love of my sister when I saw her sitting in her room with eyes full of tears. She remembered the times we played, talked and argued together in our beautiful childhood. Treasured moments. The day after my suicide, I felt how important I was to my best friends. They were looking at all our pictures together...remembering the laughs we shared. The day after my suicide, I felt the sorrow in my teachers. They blamed themselves for not noticing. At night I went to the morgue to look for myself and said: "So many dreams we had", "So many loved ones", "So many people to meet", "You had so many people that loved you, yet you threw it all away?", "You have to have a lot of courage to take your life. Why didn't you use that courage to win?" Thank goodness that was just a vision. Remember: You are still here and can change your life forever. You are better than you think you are.
