I love the look of this one! Do you change your hake brush (i.e., for a clean and dry one) during a painting? Is it more beneficial to keep them wet?

Im curious...... how many paintings do you work on at once? Are you a prolific painter? Do you feel that all your paintings are successful? Ive read that we should not judge our work against other artists, but rather by our own body of work. Im a sculptor transitioning to painting an I love your work.

Thank you so much 💕 I typically focus on one painting at a time, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the process. While I wouldn't consider myself prolific in terms of quantity, I strive for quality and exploration in each piece. I think of every 5 paintings one turns out great, three are okay, and one is a failure Wishing you a smooth and pleasant transition 💕

How can you tell when a painting is done? I tend to overwork and lose the magic.

Oh, sorry to hear that 😢 I can tell it when the painting feels complete as a whole - the composition doesn’t fall apart, and when adding another paint spot ruins it rather than enhancing it

I do feel that watching you videos is like taking a studio course . Im so impressed with your techniques and composition. Do you know the colors you will use before you begin?

@@dennismacdonald8501 Thank you very much. So happy to hear that 💕 Yes, I always know exactly what colors I will use. Sometimes during the painting process, the palette may narrow a little, but the main colors remain the same, and the clearer I see the final result, the better it gets

Any resource for color combinations that always work ? Your work always seems so harmonious to me and your accent colors always work. More than your Color Wheel understanding.

@@dennismacdonald8501 Thank you 💕 Sure. Here's a great website for generating color palettes: coolors.co. Another website with very nice color schemes: www.design-seeds.com. Since my childhood, I've been helping my parents combine colors and mix paints in their architectural studio. So, in my case, it’s just a matter of a huge amount of experience

Does adding water to the modeling paste, make it soft again? Or does the paste hold its textured shape? I have seen another artist use mud for texturing walls on their paintings. But I do know that if you add water to textured mud, it will diminish the effects

No, adding water to the modeling paste will not make it soft again. Once it dries, it maintains its textured shape.
