Indigenous Peoples’ nutrition

4 жыл бұрын

In recent decades Indigenous Peoples globally have experienced rapid and dramatic shifts in lifestyle that are unprecedented in history. Moving away from their own self-sustaining, local food systems into industrially derived food supplies, these changes have adverse effects on dietary quality and health.
The Centre for Indigenous Peoples' Nutrition and Environment (CINE) based in McGill University, Canada, responded to requests from indigenous leaders from around the world to help stop loss of traditional food system knowledge with research and community-driven activities that bridge the generations.
This series of videos presents highlights from 12 indigenous community areas in 9 countries, and is intended to contribute to the evidence base used to make global policies to protect Indigenous Peoples' food resources and promote good health.
This video describes the project as a whole. Included is a brief history of CINE as well as the overall objectives the project promotes with Indigenous Peoples around the world.

Yeah NUTRITION is crucial and it sounds like your acquainted with the teachings of Weston A Price who was born from Ontario then moving and having a dental practice in Ohio . If not familiar ? His monumental book: Nutrition and Physical Degeneration is unparalleled and should be taught and studied in all schools, colleges as well as all age brackets. He emphasized the teeth as your window to optimum health by having good dentition. . He was head researcher for dentistry in the 1920’s-30’s and discovered all the violations of modern foods impacting : 1) Dental immunity to caries 2) Proper development of facial features needing to ingest specific special foods starting from infancy to full maturation into adulthood at 18-19 yo. 3) How to heal dental caries in chapter 22 of his book with a secondary dentin. ( yellow pigmentation of the teeth.) 4) Their was community sharing everywhere he traveled when native people subsisted on traditional foods. Not mentioned in book : This shows how much better it was to allow sharing to the community which is completely oblivious to people living in cities as well as suburban areas now in modern times. Selfishness and constant brainwashing of people needing to make money and completely blind to nutrition. 5) Observations of soil to plant growth 6) Studying samples of vitamin and mineral content of butter. ( not mentioned he did 2000 samples. ) . 7) Planning of special fat soluble activator foods of both genders 6 months before conception . Not mentioned in book: This was done in order to reinforce the mitochondrial DNA therefore reducing susceptibility to disease. 8) Mental outlooks change drastically from weak diets and poor nutrition such as ingesting refined white flour and refined white sugar products. Canned goods as well as poor fats like crisco. Also not mentioned : Veganism is poor nutrition 9) Physical performance is sustained and enhanced through proper nutrition in the persons local living grounds by eating traditional foods. So these nine things noted in his book are quickly changed, enhanced, assisted through sound nutrition. Below these are my observations and certain many others do not say anything or advertise this fact but both oily fish such as mackerel, herring, sardines, anchovies, salmon as well as other oily fish along with all sea mammals have hypothermia postponing properties in them. Resulting in delayed hypothermia from cold exposure or cold water immersion. So in essence these are essential lifesavers to all places where people living in cold climates throughout the world pervade. So ingesting them is extremely important, healthy and rewarding in winter time to which lives can be saved .. Also it ought to brought to everyone’s attention that trace amounts of omega 3 oils are in all sea mammals like whale, seal, walrus, sea lion etc. Just focus and do the testing if necessary regarding the omega 3 oil and inform the world of this importance. So in the nutshell if we have 178 countries on earth then at least 10-100 people in each one ought to be constantly broadcasting & teaching Weston A Prices’s crucial observations. His work should be taught in all schools & colleges throughout the world. This would make a serious monumental change for humanity by making drastic changes in both mental and physical outlooks.
