Every year I wait for this game just for the pre-match ceremonies from both sides. Such an amazing cultural display, nothing like it in world sports. Great one boys

I love the respect from the Maori team for the indigenous war cry. They may be on opposite teams, but the respect for the fight to keep culture alive is something every indigenous person feels deeply.

The Maoris had it good under the British Empire compared to what happened here in Australia. The Maori had the same rights as a British Citizen whilst the Indigenous in Australia were slaughtered or slaved. The greatest apology you can give the Indigenous of this country is preserving their Culture. At the moment it's in Extinction. Take a look at how NZ treat their Culture. It's completely part of their whole nation..Australia on the other hand has no trace of Indigenous Culture in any parts of the Government. Our schools need to teach Aboriginal Culture as a Compulsory subject in Primary. Learning French or Spanish is just a waste of time when theres a language here right under our noses..Its a way of connecting each Australian to the People of the past..A path to reconciliation.

Aboriginals put up no fight, the British just ran a train on them didn’t even bother with a treaty. Maoris are decendants of Polynesians and Polynesians use to go to war with each other out of Boredom

Is it just me or did some of these dance moves look like they came straight off a Broadway stage? Have a look at the indigenous war dance from the first game this was done, much better and shorter. It seems each year these dances have to be bigger and better. A different dance each year makes it more difficult for the crowd to relate, the original Hakka is recognised the world over because everyone has seen the same dance. Just saying.
