It has taken hours of practice, because I don't speak French! But I finally managed to karaoke this without needing a vocal track or to slow it down!!! Beautiful song and I hope I can pronounce it without butchering it!!!

It's amazing how underdeveloped some languages and accents can be. Being a native English speaker with an Australian accent, the muscular attention French dictates really hurts my jaw muscles. Can't wait to get more competent.

The English language is an absolute mess Words from other languages reused or redefined Recycled words with multiple unrelated meanings American vs European The slang And here have a pun 'go away we can spell colour without u' Oh yeah and multiple words that mean the same thing and are pretty much just a way of saying you have a broader vocab

@@vladdracul1916 All languages have loan words from other languages, all languages have slang, all languages have regional differences (look at Peninsular Spanish compared to the 19 other countries that speak it.), and certainly all languages have synonyms. English is really not all that unique.

Thank you for the lyrics, but please note that the translation has many errors, including this serious one: "J'ai beau trimer" has been translated as "I'm well in hell". Literally, "J'ai beau trimer" means: "EVEN THOUGH I SLAVE AWAY" (working) . . . without you my life is a set that shines, devoid of meaning.

Agreed. Another example would be "Je danse avec le vent, la plue" it was translated to "I dance in the wind and rain". Close, but it would be "with the wind and rain".

Americans have no clue about the incredible music from all over Europe. You can listen to great Russian, French, German, etc and find beautiful music sang by very talented artists. It’s not important if you understand the language. The music, and the tone and cadence of the song will make you feel it. Besides you can almost always find English lyrics and once you hear them you’ll understand the music even if you can’t remember the lyrics. I’ve got music from all over the world and I love it. Did you really need to read the lyrics to appreciate that song?
