You were blessed to be raised in such a family. My parents were the complete opposite and at 58, caring for my 87-year-old mother, I am just now realizing why I struggle so much with depression and more. My mother is very angry and verbally abusive. I can’t live like this anymore. I’ve tried. So I need to get my mother out of my house. My husband says “love and forgive”. I do love and forgive but I do not deserve this. It’s affecting my physical and mental health.

Jesus first, and you April are one of my champions I listen to , thank you ✨️

Hi Me Martinez.

You have many uplifting messages, but I'm not convinced that this one is actually all that biblical. Here's why. I never see Jesus voting people out of his circle because they're too negative, small minded etc. He rebuked people openly, with love, for lack of faith etc. But he lived so radically that anyone who did not align with him cut themselves out of his circle. He invited everyone in, but lived with such clear direction that anyone who didn't want to go that direction would not receive his invitation. Of course we need those in our lives who can sharpen, mentor and help us, but in this message it sounds like you cut out anyone from your life who doesn't uplift, encourage or strengthen you. But out of the fullness of the Father's strength Jesus sought out the broken, the needy and those who could not benefit him in any way. I believe that's the pattern we are to emulate.
