Going through the last two years of my KZfaq channel, I've noticed just how many people attached to my Fire Emblem Three Houses and how I've convinced myself I've run out of them only to realize just how many amazing themes this game has that I still haven't touched. This one in particular was one that happens very breifly in the game that I thought was so odd that I got so many requests for that it took until I finally decided to buckle down and see what I could do with it, did I realize how absolutely brilliant this song truly is. I had a LOT of fun putting this one together.
My brother just left from his visit to San Diego and he's been helping me film a lot of these videos. It's been really fun having a new perspective on interesting approaches to how I make these and also fun to take on extra challenges with the visual aspect. He thought the zoom in shot that transferred between tripods and lens' in the solo would be cool so we tried it out and had a blast ironing it out in premiere. Let me know what you thought of the visuals on this one!
I really sucked a lot of the color and saturation to match the vibe of when this happens in the game, but unfortunately San Diego doesn't really rain much so we made do with what we had. I'm still super proud of this and really excited to bring you guys more Fire Emblem! Enjoy!

I'm surprised you haven't done Roar of Dominion yet, it's one of the best in the soundtrack. I wouldn't mind Funeral of Flowers either. You just do this soundtrack too well to not do these :)

Dimitri is either dead or has no eyepatch when this song plays, and all of the times it plays, you’re either fighting Edelgard in Enbarr Palace, or fighting the lords as part of the Black Eagle Strike Force, so I’d associate this song more with Edelgard than Dimitri. Hell, Claude is involved in 2/4 times this plays (Enbarr in VW, and Derdriu in CF), so Dimitri is the least-fitting lord with this theme.

@@calamity500 To War at Gronder, as well as the academy phase Gonder battle, and the final maps of all routes, don’t have individual boss themes, the map theme just plays through the whole time.

Enjoy it, dude! One of the best written stories in a game I’ve ever played through. There’s a lot of symbolism and heart, and loads of character in every little nook and cranny. You could choose whichever house you want, but the Blue Lions route probably has the best overarching story. Whichever you pick is good, though. There’s no definitive worst route in my opinion. They’re all too good.

In my headcanon, Felix is defeated, and about to accept death, but Edelgard and Annette enter the scene and save his ass, while Byleth and the others are dealing with Dedue and Rhea’s forces.

I think the song was composed for Dimitri actually, if you listen to Felix's dialogue with Byleth in the chapter before Dimitri's fight in CF (which was unfortunately changed for some reason in the localized version) he talks about Dimitri in a positive way & mentions the strength of his will to never give up, unlike what they literally made up in the English version, anyway here's the actual translation: Felix talking about Dimitri: "..what makes him terrifying is the strength of his will. Even if he's the last one to remain, he will continue to fight until the end. That's the kind of man he is, I know that best."

I just found all your Fire Emblem Three Houses covers from this and man it was great to see how much you loved this game, I loved hearing about it in your descriptions. The covers are great, and I really noticed how much they lend themselves to this style; my favourite one of yours I think was Blue Skies and a Battle. If you were to do another track from Three Houses, I'd love Funeral of Flowers or Roar of Dominion? Probably pretty ambitious but I think the result could be something else. I'd really love, love, _love_ it if you could look into the FE Echoes soundtrack, because that game has a _phenomenal_ ost across the board; some in particular: Twilight of the Gods, What Lies at the End, The Sacrifice and the Saint, and A Song for Bygone Days. I really hope you check it out!

I love that this only plays when you fight Dimitri on his last stand. It isn’t like some other boss themes where the music changes when the boss starts to mobilize and it’s 100% jarring to go from Long Road to this especially as it has no build up. A sad theme turning into this piece symbolises Dimitri’s desperation perfectly
