He rarely utters derogatory remarks, and when he does, he publicly apologizes. It's as if a wild lion has been tamed, becoming docile and understanding. This transformation has touched the hearts of many Indonesians, almost like a story too good to be true, authored by a divine figure. Jokowi, whom I believe is the best president in Indonesia's history, is in a dilemma, as he cannot continue his presidency due to term limits. Amending the constitution would provoke protests from people of all backgrounds. Unlike clean countries like Singapore or Denmark, where prime ministers can remain in power indefinitely, having a leader without term limits could lead to never-ending corruption and authoritarianism in a country like Indonesia. It's unimaginable that Jokowi, despite the rivalry and two electoral contests with Prabowo, would endorse his rival as his successor.
