What I like about this match is both Indonesia and Thailand were tried to play football. No cheating. No Kung Fu football. Just tactical fight. As a Thais and despite the score, I must say there are so much potential in this Indonesian team. They are just like the U-23 team with some over-age player but can fought their way into the final. That mean they have potential. They just need more experience. If you stick with Shin Tae-Yong and this group of player, Indonesia can be a force to be reckon with within 2 - 3 years, or even next year. You have a bright future. I hope both team will have a good game in the second leg.

I would admit that despite being strengthened by a sort of talented individuals, Indonesia definitely have to learn from Thailand. I totally was being disappointed with their play since mental-wise, they at least have matched Thailand, but not for the collectivity part. Salute for Thailand, as these young players would have learned a lot of things, including how to pass the ball with such a high up-field pressing style to control the overall ball possession throughout the first half until the full-time, but it probably takes a lot of time. This Indonesian team is too young to learn how to play by not their own but collectivity, too much reliant towards their individual skills as a player rather than to co-operate as a team, so well done, Thailand. The players and fans totally deserved this big win over the young deities who somewhat didn't show their claw to the Thai's white elephants. Greetings from Indonesia.

Kalau melihat kembali AFF 2018 kita ke semi-finalpun gak nyampe padahal di isi rata-rata pemain senior & berpengalaman. Tapi timnas saat ini yang di isi mayoritas pemain muda, mereka bisa membuktikan hingga ke babak Final. Jangan dibebankan dengan Juara, tapi lihat progres mereka sejauh ini gimana. Ada peningkatan! Terlepas dari juara atau tidak nanti lihatlah dari sudut pandang lain. Jangan sampai ekspektasi kalian yang menginginkan juara, ketika gagal malah berujung menyalahkan para pemain dan tim.juara itu bonus.Mereka anak-anak muda bisa sampai ke final itu sudah luar biasa membanggakan. STY tetap Hebat bro... Hanya bermodalkan pemain-pemain muda yang minim pengalaman di kanca internasional, mampu menahan imbang Vietnam dan mampu membawa timnas ke Final. Indonesia memang tidak diunggulkan di AFF 2020 ini, tapi lihatlah perjuangan mereka sampai ke final itu cukup menjanjikan untuk Indonesia tetap memperpanjang STY membina regenerasi skuad garuda. Terutama dalam hal mentalitas. Catatan : Vietnam butuh waktu sejak tahun 2007 melakukan pembenahan, untuk menjadi negara yang diperhitungkan dalam sepak bola ASIA. Belgia butuh waktu 20 tahunan untuk memperoleh peringkat terbaik FIFA. Banyak lagi contoh yang lain, seperti Spanyol atau Korea Selatan. Biarkan STY melanjutkan visi misinya, sudah kelihatan perkembangan timnas kita. Jangan dikit dikit ganti. Tim Muda dengan pengalaman yang minim mampu ke FINAL AFF. Bayangkan mereka 5 tahun ke depan.

exactly final match was done between Thailand and Vietnam. Indonesia team have improved a lot but they are so young and need gain more experiences. But I really hope that Asean will do more tournaments and young players have chance to improve, get experience and have more qualified match in future. after seeing Indo lose to Thailand. I realized, the 2 matches that Thai met Vietnam were the only 2 matches where the Thai team knew the smell of fear. In those two matches, Thai had to play defensively against the overwhelming pressure of Vietnam. In the ASEAN region, besides Vietnam, there is almost no team that can make Thailand tremble like that. So, the way to win Vietnam is to play defensively, as tight as possible like the way Indo vs Thailand did. Playing attack with Vietnam is a bad idea, the match against Malaysia is proof. If you want to win Thailand, you have to have better technique than them, or they will overwhelm you. In my opinion, the Thailand vs Vietnam match is still the most worth watching match.

If Thailand can be the champion this time, there will be another good news. Which is, Thailand can play a friendly match against Korea or Japan for 'free'. Because EAFF and AFF decided to let their champions play against each other. Therefore, if Thailand can win 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup, they will play against the champion of 2021 EAFF Cup. In EAFF Cup, Korea and Japan are most likely to win the trophy. So, Thailand can play a friendly match against Korea or Japan for 'free'. It will be a good experience for Thai national team.

The reason for the defeat of the Indonesia national team was due to a change in players who covered the weakness on the left side, but caused big problems in the middle. Because Dewangga and Irianto were not available as stoppers, they were replaced by Evan and Kadek whose type was more attacking and less defensive. When hit by a counter, it is clear that the weakness is on the midfielder's side, and creates a large cavity that makes it easy for Thai players to make breakthrough passes and long shots.

I'm thanking Shin Tae Young for laying the foundation for these young players. Only perhaps, mentally, these lads need to be stronger and clinical, but to be honest tactically we were just fine if all the key players available. I couldn't agree more should Dewangga didn't have to switch to left back replacing Arhan it would have been a different story for our defence in the midfield. He was the man of the match in the game against Vietnam in the group stage for nonstop chasing and running. Kudos to Thailand, they were classy, but if we can learn from that game, there will be lots of promises for the next 3-5 years.

Tremendous play by the Thai. Each of individuals' techniques and awareness is good, they know where to move and find the gap. As for Indonesia, the thing that I highlighted the most is probably the awareness as a team, probably since the players are so young they act more like individuals rather than a team and failed to keep a cool headed. Also, they don't know where to go and guard when being countered. Nevertheless impressive performance for Indonesia managing to the final and Thailand for delivering such beautiful play. Hopefully one of us, Asean countries could make it through the world cup someday.
