Vritrasur is like a dragon/ serpent like figure. He defeated Indra once. Later Indra destroys him. Indra and Zeus have similar story arch. Typhoon was a titan with snake like hands and giant in shape. He defeated Zeus once. Later Zeus destroyed him.

VRITRA WAS NOT A RAKSHASHA, HE WAS A NAGA DANAVA (SERPENT) His legend is the legend that inspired the Draconic Myths of China, where the Divine Serpent aka Naga aka Dragon controlled WATER, RAIN & caused drought. In many stories Vritra is good, Indra is bad & in many stories Indra is good, Vritra is bad. Some say Indra had to take SOMA to become intoxicated enough to be brave enough to assassinate the King Vritra. Most likely Vritra constructed the world's first dams & withheld water from people outside & clan leaders like Indra opposed this & assassinated Vritra during some function where alcohol/Soma was being served. o.o This became legends that was passed all over Asia.
