That she introduced Navya without naming the famous family behind her - absolute kudos to Barkha. Celebrate the individual, not the lineage. Fantastic anchor moment by a true professional.

Every South Asian Woman should watch this video to break her own personal barriers. I immediately ordered the book, looking forward to reading it! Indra Nooyi is an inspiration. I relate to each word coming from her. The highlight for me was when Indra said, "For an immigrant woman to come from India and reach the pinnacle of success in another country, that can only happen in the United States. I am deeply grateful to the United States and India."

This woman is something else.. in a time when a country is celebrating an Indian actress flourishing in Hollywood in an industry that has women integrated within, this remarkable woman here broke every single stigma to squash the glass ceiling in an Industry that doesn't need woman to run it..and all this 20 yrs ago. 20 yrs ! Gosh, to even fathom this feat brings goosebumps. The stereotypes she had to get past - Non white, Not American born, not American educated, not from a western country, not a male in a text book male dominated ruthless business world (not even tech industry) and all these 2-3 decades ago . She is more than Sundar pichai, sathya nadella,Kamala Harris, Priyanka Chopra all put together in 2021. I feel she deserves to be celebrated much more in the media than she is . Hats off !

There are so many young social workers who come from poor or middle class background and instead of choosing a high-paying job they choose to help other women and spend their youth in social work. Would have loved to see someone like that instead of Navya.

Thanks Burkha. It was fascinating to listen to this episode. I am in New York with my daughter. Coning from a contemporary generation like Indira I can well visualize the environment then and now. Being from the services we have a quote to be a good gunner you must be blessed with daughters... picking it up from there this conversation was quite enlightening and amazing. Both my daughters who are doing exceedingly well in their spheres of profession and the credit for it goes to my wife their mother. She gave them the freedom and liberty to think and take decisions. I think Indiras book will be useful not only to them but also to my all nieces, we have a family full of girls.

Knowingly she joined a company and was associated with it,the company largely selling junk foods like carbonated drinks ,potato chips etc. As a woman only if she would have worked in advocating healthy lifestyle and not junk foods

Too much emphasis on Ms Nooyi being woman and less on being a person. That way a bit lopsided programme with unnecessary slant.

Navya gets all plattering in her plate & is provided with internships & platforms. But can we get some real workers of this field whi actually own a startup, trying to raise funds than the ones like Navya & team selling health supplements & things at ridiculous high prices without even knowing its health benefits.
