The business began in 1958 as a street vendor on a trishaw, before shifting to Golden Mile Food Centre in 1975, when the food centre was built. The stall has been established for more than 6 decades. Inheriting the recipe and skill of handmaking Yong Tau Foo from their father, second generation owner Mr Johnson Chng and his siblings have been handmaking fish paste from scratch with Yellowtail fish.
Other than fish balls, the fish paste is stuffed in green chilli, bitter gourd, Tau Pok, Tofu, and ladies finger. The freshly made fishballs have a bouncy, fresh bite. The secret to the tasty soup lies in the fish paste ground from the fresh Yellowtail they use!
You don't have to spend a second thinking about the type of noodles to go with - only Bee Hoon is offered. Pick your favourite Yong Tau Foo items dancing excitedly in the big boiling soup pot, as well as the crispy fritters waving at you from the shelf!
