1. Describe what life was like prior to the development of mills and industrialization.

This process was time consuming and demanding. Explain the process of taking raw fibers (either wool or cotton) and turning them into fabric. Include detailed explanations of carding, spinning, and weaving.
3. For most of human history machines were powered by human or animal muscle power. The new textile mills were powered by what source?

4. The first machines in the mills to be automated were the Carding machines. These were time saving but the real advance was the invention of the Water Frame.
