Totally agree Chris, great point! I like the pausing, but I know some others don’t - which I totally understand, sometimes with Em, you think the scheme is finished but he’s still going. I suppose letting it play through let’s you hear the whole scheme before breaking it down. Win win!

🔥🔥🔥. 19:50 He uses his voice as an instrument,it is like adding drums to a beat. Speaking of drums, Knox Hill pointed this out, em can rhyme in polyryhtmns. For example, on 4-4 beat, he can rhyme on every third note. This might seem off beat at first, but he makes sure that his rhymes line up on that 12th beat. This is too advanced, I dont know any rapper that does this

I think he’s trying to say Em’s use of dynamic range, also like a drummer, either hitting softer or harder (quieter and louder) on specific vowel sounds.

That's not exactly called polyrythym, it's something else. An example of polyrythym would be a standart triplets over a 4/4 beat.

For me personally this is Ems greatest ever verse. It’s epic! The production behind it and Em just dancing around it with his lyrical genius and word bending. He’s the GOAT in my opinion. That verse is beyond powerful

Some people don't get Em I think, they say "all he did was rap fast and got famous off of that" when in reality I think it had less to do with him rapping fast, although that was part of it, but more to do with the emotion he put into every single track he does. you can tell he actually means what he says, compared to a lot of other rappers when he first started and up until today. How he clearly believes every single word he says and puts his all into every track, even the fun ones. That to me is really what set him apart from others and still does to this day.
