If you use the usb-c to usb-c cable...it's twice as fast or more. I just got this little sucker for Christmas in hopes of offloading footage from my camera(s) or even editing on my Fold 4 with it as an external drive. I just hooked it up to an M1 Max MB Pro and it's fast enough for what I need. Good video.

It depends a lot on the speed of the usb port on your laptop, not necesarily the connector type.

@@UltimateDIY True. I had the same drive plugged in a 3.2 hub/dock via USB 3.2 (USB A) and it was the speeds he's getting here. Unplugged it all then went from the drive usb-c 3.2 to the same computer (technically thunderbolt 4) and it was twice as fast though. I am a video editor and use externals all the time. Greatest I've had is a thunderbolt 3 SSD RAID.

Then probably the speed in the video was limited by my laptop.

Could someone explain to me why are there multiple enclosures with active cooling that have slower data transfer speeds and lower temperature rates, and no active cooling enclosures for the two times faster thunderbolt versions which are running insanely hot? There used to be one thunderbolt enclosure with an active cooling (Fledging Shell Thunder M.2 NVMe SSD Thunderbolt 3 Active Cooling Enclosure) but it seems that the company doesn't exist anymore. This whole issue is like an anomaly to me.

No. Please don't accuse if you don't know what you are talking about. All the tests were correct. If you get that, probably you either have a defective product or the SSD is built with a technology that makes it really slow at times.
