Shoes keeps you "ungrounded" susceptible to dark forces/control as you are unstable and not-connected to the Earth. Staying barefoot keeps you full-power and recharged and in-tune with mother nature and great spirit. I respect Mutabaruka, often I walk, hike and run with no shoes, and I get those looks from people and he's right, you see other's vibes and reactions. My biggest fear is not stepping on a sharp rock or glass because you walk with more awareness for each step, It's walking on toxic chemicals sprayed on the ground.

@@samanthascott1301 that is not a reason to be disrespectful of anyone. God is a title or rather an attribution to a creator/Most High. God is not a name. That is how Muta understands that. You are believing about God based on a man made construct. That is a concept that was impressed upon you via biblical teachings and not your intuitive awareness nor from you own livity/experience. If you never saw a bible all your life, what would be your thought about God? God concept came from nan's consciousness. Everything starts from within. This is how we are spiritually connected to what or whom we cannot see. We are the manifestation of whom or what you cannot see. What I am saying has nothing to do with believing but rather your understanding. Believing is a choice and it is basically faith in unverified thought or reason for doubt. The only reason you believe is because you don't know. When you know then there is no reason to believe. You included is possibly the descendants of people who were captured and subjugated. Generation after generation we were taught what to believe, what to think and we are now at a point where I could explain until I am blue in the face and you will not see through what I am saying here...zero understanding because you have been taught that believing is the premise for a reward of eternal salvation. This is the very same paradigm that made the cult pastor Kevin Smith had so much gravity in Jamaica. They taught us theology but they did not teach us theosophy. They brought us religion but they brought their own conceptualization of a god. You should not believe anything I am saying because the historacy is there for everyone to learn and understand it. We have been holding fast, believing in what we don't understand = superstition... we are the most ancient people historically accounted for. We were not created spiritually voided. Nuff love

Though I don't follow nor accept a lot of Muta's uttering, I like the way he sticks to the principles of his beliefs. While a lot of Rastas say they 'bun out 'Babylon ,' they still follow a lot of these 'Babylonians' way. In contrast Muta, (as far as he is able to), refrain from their way of living, through his dressing, diet and any other areas that he has control of. I'm sure he wouldn't even drive a car, if he could effectively gotten around without one. I remember some years ago at Norman Manley Airport, while passengers were sitting and waiting for the call to board the airplane, Muta stood by himself by the door - in pole position. However, When the call was made, he didn't move a muscle, while we all rushed to be at the head of the queue! The man was as cool as a cucumber. After the rush, he made his move. He is a man who marches to the beat of his own drum, (he actually says so in this interview). That is why I admire him, even though I find him contradicting himself numerous times.
