But it follows Alex after PROTOTYPE 1 it's canon, came out before the 2nd game and shows why he's a villain in PROTOTYPE 2

Some people prefer not being over powered and giving enemies a chance to win which is Infamous . And some people prefer to be the Boss of the game which is Prototype

My head cannon for the change of voice actor in inFamous is the incident that gave him his powers, also fried his vocal cords and they needed time to heal.

If Sony wants to Make A successful Venom game in which they have a beautiful blueprint in Prototype 2 or work with those guys that made that game a relic in time .

I think there are comics that explain why Alex became what he became in prototype 2.

Infamous 2 was amazing. My only critiques is that it does not address all the loose ends of the first game. Moya and Alden Tate die in a comic book when players should have seen their demise in the games, and Sasha is taken by the First Sons but nothing is known about her whereabouts in the second game. Overall, 2 was great, though. It's a shame that Sucker Punch did not use the evil ending as the canon ending.

I LOVED infamous 2 😍. I remember getting a demo disk with my ps3 not expecting much until I started playing....I would be in work, excited for work to be over so I could go home to play haha.

I think it's pretty decisive when people say Infamous 2 is a big upgrade over Infamous 1 while fans are very iffy on Prototype 2 compared to the original. Only advantage the Prototype series has is that you can buy them on modern consoles and PC while the Infamous games are trapped on whatever original Sony console they released on. Praying we get a Macgrath collection rerelease some day.

I never realized how small the war was between these two when they had a whole jihad with the previous games probably because inFamous was exclusive or something. I still remember that article from Jim Sterling where he gives 10 reasons why Prototype was better and among the greats were the spelling of inFamous, calling Sucker Punch racist without elaborating, and Final Fantasy XIII being on the 360.

I love Infamous and Infamous 2 but I got to give it to the Prototype series. At least those aren't stuck on the PS3.

I liked both sequels, but Infamous 2 is definitely the better one in comparison.

I feel the same way about Prototype 2 being divisive. It’s a much more refined game and I’m even playing through it a third time now.

Infamous 2 had one of the best endings ive seen and im talking about the evil ending. Siding with the beast is cole actually taking control of his own destiny. Its also taking a deeper perspective on not just morally right and wrong but what choice is logically better. Do you use the rfi and sacrifice yourself and all other conduits for a 50/50 chance youll even cure the plague. putting all of humanity at risk if your hope for a miracle device will even work? Or do you join the beast and know for certain you can save a fraction of the population rather than none. Making conduits the new dominant race, immune to the plague and able to have humanity continue on. Prototype 2 just doesn’t have that thought provoking story.

Seems like kind of a weird set of games to pit against each other. Both franchises are really different in terms of tone, gameplay, story, mechanics, intrigue, immersion, etc etc. Just because of the bottom shelf observation of “both guy have superpowers and run and jump haha” doesn’t mean they’re significantly comparable.

I love prototype more but can't deny how good infamous story line is on top of the very decent gameplay etc. So as a game based on technical merit infamous win but as a gaming experience prototype wins by a landslide.

as some one who started off with prototype, and has definitely played prototype much more, infamous 2 is way better than 2, and id say even the first prototype. pro2 is better than in1, pro1 is better than in1. but in2, is easily one of the best sandbox, super power, and whatever other game genres it applies for. which prototype 2 just really doesnt meet. i think the only thing i really even like about pro2 is the Red Noir(black and white with the exception of red) cutscenes, as its my favorite "filter", and the ability to dual powers. and i disagree with the needing to play infamous 1 part. i just played infamous 2 first for the longest time(i was like 8 or somethin, forgive me) and all that i NEEDED to know was Kessler. even white, who you technically need to know, isnt really built up in the first. Cole and whites very low friendship is only weighty in the second. and with prototype 2, its not bad, but i think its way worse control layout wise than the first, but maybe thats just cause ive played the first so much that pro2s layout won't ever fit with me. but look, ive completed infamous 2 and pro1 SEVERAL TIMES! shit maaaaaaaan ive easily beaten, without any joking, prototype 1 at LEAST like 30 times. i was, obsessed. i havent ever gotten around to being prototype 2 after my first time great games but inFAMOUS is just above. still tho, great video and all opinions are valid oh an yee alex was bland in character in the first, but he just looks cooler, and then they still made him cooler in sequel. cooler than james

Prototype 2 for sure despite it being a bit more limited than even prototype 1. I think if infamous leaked into its themes more without the kinda cheesiness it also had I may have personally liked it more . But I’ve always enjoyed pro type more despite the very loose story. The gameplay was always much better and the animations weren’t so distractingly janky as with infamous

why alex over heller? hoody and collars up over tank collar, and hoody down. it's a style question for me. i don't like hellers boots either, makes it look like he wears clown shoes XD both chars are bland as hell, but, alex moreso has an excuse. the dude is basiclly a virus that gained sentience, from copying some random science white guy. both are about as fun as coming home as a kid with your happy meal, just to find out they forgot your toy.
